The desperate need that we had for a water tank system at our children's home meant that in December 2023, we took money from our reserves and put a water tank system in at our last house which needed one.
Unfortunately the water cuts are continuing and with 52 children at the home, we urgently needed a regular and safe supply of clean water to ensure that we keep the correct hygiene levels in the home.
At Hearts of Hope, we need water for drinking, cooking, washing the clothes and keeping the house clean, and for playing. The children love playing with water on the hot days in Johannesburg's summer.
The tanks help the Mom's ensure that there is always clean water available to care for the children.
Thank-you to those who donated towards the water tank system and planted the little seed of our water system.
