“Kodomo-no-machi Ishinomaki 2017PlayCity Ishinomaki 2017” was held in and around the shopping street of Ishinomaki, and the Earthquake disaster reconstruction apartment house in 7 and 8 of October, and over 700 children and parents joined.Although it was rainy on the first day, there were few participants, but on the second day it was sunny and more than 600 children participated.

In the Play City Ishinoki, children can work in public office, shop or company offer several kinds of services, and earn money which is used only in this city.
This year's feature was also held at the disaster reconstruction collective housing.
Regional companies and residents also cooperated a lot.

Through the process of “city” life, children can learn lots of things in the system of town management and community, and such experience supports them to draw their dreams.

Local students from junior-high schools, high schools and universities also joined and support children.

Children working as managers have took part in the meeting since 5 months ago, and prepared the contents until the day together.Children were working in about 100 kinds of jobs with deep joy.

Children are doing a lot of work such as cafe, ramen shop, bank and administration, police and radio stations, leather craftsmen and secondhand book shops.

The road was transformed into a park by laying lawn.

Children's flea market, dancing, making things and various kinds of play were done. Children's flea market soldaccessories and toys made at home. A child casino also started a business there. A casino of various contents was born.

The first day was a strong rainy and cold day, but since the children are "jobs I want to do", everyone managed to keep the shop. Children shop managers were touched by a few participants, "Thank you for coming in the rain! Let's make it a fun day", I was impressed.

This event has also reached its six year, local children and residents have begun to be involved actively.

Adults support children 's dreams, and community development through that process leads to the greatest earthquake disaster reconstruction
