Teacher's Orientation
Teacher's Orientation

This academic year began with a great start. The children were back after their vacations with great excitement and enthusiasm, looking forward for another exciting year and the Mangament and teachers were all geared up to exemplify the same to provide another academic year filled with activities, fun, creativity and more.

We are highly thrilled and proud with another year's fantastic 10th grade results. 18 out of 24 srudents scoring first class marks with 84% being the highest. We are proud to share that our students are in prestigious colleges like Christ Junior College, St. Joseph’s, Mount Carmel, Sindhi College and Sheshadripuram College.

TEACHER’S ORIENTATION

We had the first academic meeting which aimed at guiding and motivating teachers to develop students’ academic achievements, skill enhancement and the overall development of the school.

Analyzing our previous academic year's achievements we put forth a plan and a system in order to achieve better excellence in education. The session dealt with a discussion on how we could better in providing the students with an integrated learning in academics, sports, extracurricular activities and much more. We look forward to enhancing students’ knowledge and ensuring to provide the best of education along with holistic development.

BACK TO SCHOOL

The school reopened on the 1st of June. The children were excited to be back at school. The management and teachers were all set to give our best in enriching this academic year with much more enthusiasm. The children were taken to the playground and we conducted several games.

On the seventh of June, we were privileged to have Ms. Natasha, quality manager of Volvo from Poland visiting us. On this occasion, we took the privilege to introduce our board members, management and teachers. Our Founder Executive Director Ms. Krupalatha Martin Dass gave the welcome note. Our Head Mistress Ms. Mrunalini then introduced the new team of teachers and staff. An invocation song was performed by the students of class seven.

Our new event director Mr Murugan took us on a journey to understand our plans and commitments for this academic year.

We thank Volvo towards their contribution of laptops for the students

FAREWELL TO PHILIP

We bid farewell to Philip who had been a volunteer at SUKRUPA for nine months. The children had a wonderful time during his volunteering. We are grateful for his contribution towards teaching, assisting and helping at the school.

AN ENVIRONMENT DAY INITIATIVE

Creating awareness for the need for protecting our environment is of great relevance in today's world. In recognition of the world environment day the high school students took on the roads creating awareness on the need to preserve, protect and nurture the nature and environment. The students carried placards and marched towards the HMT Ground in R.T.Nagar to join an event conducted by the Department of Education. As part of the event the children were keen to hear from the Member of Parliament Mr. Sadananda Gowda and also the environmentalist Saalumarada Thimmakka.

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The importance and relevance of Yoga has been very much discussed today. Today in different parts of the world people practice this art and have it a part of their lives. It has very much to do with health, fitness and the mind. To bring its relevance and importance among student, SUKRUPA joined the rest of the world in celebrating Yoga day. The children were taught various Yoga asana’s and with great enthusiasm they were able to perform them. Students were educated about its importance and the need to make it a part of their everyday life.

SUKRUPA KABBADI TEAM

Sports is always so very important for children and it provides them physical ability and skills. We at SUKRUPA encourage students to take active participation in Sports. In the last few months we have successfully been able to provide Kabbadi trainings and practice sessions for both girl and boys. The children have taken part in several Taluk level sports competitions and have won many tournaments. We look forward to taking the children to the next level in Kabbadi and encourage more and more students to take part in it.

SPELL BEE

The high school students participated in a Spell Bee competition held by Regency Public School Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore. The objective of the event was to improve vocabulary and English usage among the children. The event aimed at enhancing children's ability to learn concepts by building competency thus increasing their individual abilities. Our students from SUKRUPA participated with character and confidence and with great enthusiasm. It was a first time experience and participating in the competition gave them a good exposure to enhance their spelling and vocabulary skill set.

A VISIT BY VLOCITY

Mr. Ram Reddy and Mr. Dominic Lau Quan from Vlocity had an interactive session with the children about internet based computing. The children were keen to know about how their company works on cloud soft wares transforming the various kinds of businesses.

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS

DEMOCRACY BEGINS AT SCHOOL....

A student council is where children learn to experience democracy, take responsibilities, voice their ideas, solve problems and take leadership. For the first time we have introduced the Student Council at SUKRUPA to enable student’s participation in the school board and administration. The students were excited to take part in being elected as a student council member and experience all about elections and voting. The teachers enabled the students understanding about elections and its importance in our country. It was a whole process that took place where the children went on canvasing with posters and symbols, booths and ballot papers were introduced and elections were conducted. The elections were conducted by the students with the assistance of the teachers. The elected school captains took oath to be honest, humble and contribute to the welfare of the school.

PHOTO AND VIDEO JOURNALISM

The Photo-Video Journalism program supported by Fidelity National Financial India has been a successful one.  The children have been able to learn the complete process of making a video. Right from pre-production of research, creating the story board, then the production which involves the handling the camera, shooting, voice over and finally the post production of editing the video. Through the process of making the video the children were able to understand the importance of planning, team work and co-operation. The students worked in two groups and were able to create stories on socially relevant topics. One was on water conservation and the other one was on recycling. We look forward to enriching the children’s ideas and creativity through this program.
