SUKRUPA has been empowering young minds and creating opportunities for children to dream big, become socially responsible and independent through all its programs. This quarter we had several programs taking place at the school. The month of the March was also the time of examinations and end of the academic year 2016-17. Throughout the year we have done extremely well in enriching the life skills of children through all our programs.
VISIT BY MR.KENNETH NYMAN
It was wonderful to have Mr. KENNETH NYMAN, Deputy CEO Kunskapsskolan Schools-INDIA. Kunskapsskolan is an international school with 35 branches in Sweden, four branches in India and many more around the world. With a vast experience in the field of education Mr. Kenneth Nyman had an interactive session with the students of high school about the importance of Education and Success.
15th EAST-WEST MUSIC AND DANCE ENCOUNTER
It has been a privilege for the children at SUKRUPA to learn music at the Bangalore School of Music for the past five years. The children's choir has been learning music from teachers around the world and performing at various concerts. Recently they performed at the 15th East-West Music and Dance Encounter held at the Bangalore School of Music. Ms. Bettina Amacher from Zurich University of Arts Switzerland has been teaching the choir for the past three months. The choir performed four songs. It was a magnificent show put up my the children.
VISIT BY DAVE IVANS
It was wonderful to have Mr. Dave Evans from Lithium Technologies visiting SUKRUPA. He was very happy and thrilled to interact with the children and know about what they learn at school... Dave Evans is a close friend of SUKRUPA. We thank him for his continued support and guidance.

“This school, SUKRUPA, turns young minds from the less fortunate into university-bound young adults. I just cannot express the joy I feel in being a small part of this.
On my last visit, students interacted with my global flight map (my Surface has a touch screen) to see where different places were. Students took turns using their hands to manipulate the world map, landing on then listening live to radio stations all over the world.
Yah, I cried just a little...I was so happy to share the wonder of travel with them, and to may be reach their minds in a different way.
Inspiration is an amazing thing...the slightest moment of sharing with someone else can provide that spark that sets a lifetime in motion and that's what they do at SUKRUPA”.
CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
SUKRUPA wishes all the women a very Happy Women's Day. Working together for a more inclusive and gender equal world. Sukrupa emphasis on the importance of girl child education by empowering young girls to Dream Big, focus on education and prepare them to become college graduates. For over 15 years SUKRUPA has been shaping positively contributing young girls who are globally aware, confident, fiscally independent and personally responsible.
BE BOLD FOR CHANGE - An initiative by SUKRUPA in Association with Chaitanya Hospital.
We thank Dr. Geeta Patil, Pediatrician Chaitanya Hospital, Dr Kushal Kumar and Dr. Santosh.S from Indian Academy of Pediatrics’ Bangalore for conducting a session for girls in recognition of International Women's Day. We strive together to empower the next generation of women, changing perceptions and making a difference. We look forward to encouraging girls to be confident, willing and passionate about their carrier and success
SUKRUPA WITH JAN ERIKSSON
It was wonderful to have Mr. Jan Eriksson, Global Quality Director Volvo Buses. He had an exciting time interacting with the children. He was impressed to know what the children do at school and he also shared his work experience as a Global Quality Director at the Volvo. We thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit us.
WORKSHOP ON PHOTO JOURNALSIM
Through this program we were able to help children to learn the joy and skill of Photography. The children were taught the basics of Photography. We had Mr. Rajkumar Samuel as the resource person for this program. He is a professional journalist at the Deccan Herald.
FIDELITY EXECUTIVE TEAM VISIT
We were honored to have the executive CEO team from Fidelity Financial India visit SUKRUPA. The Fidelity team had a wonderful time interacting with the children. The students showcased their learning from the program which was followed by cultural performances. On this special occasion we also inaugurated the computer lab at SUKRUPA. We thank Fidelity National Financial India for their continued support.
