We thank all our supporters who helped us get through all the challenges, make bold decisions, reorganize, revisit vision and mission and make our operations process driven, cross several barriers and rise above the shortcomings.
400 children from pre school to 10th grade at SUKRUPA Education Centre continue to receive knowledge through high quality creative and value based English medium education.
We are proud that our 10th graders passed with high marks in board exams and have joined prestigious universities and soon be first generation graduates.
Re introduced SUKALP - SUKRUPA After School Life Skill Program that is currently supporting 175 preteens and teenagers to realize their inner strength, become conscious individuals and focus on their potential to achieve their dreams and goals. We aim to groom and mentor them to complete high school and move to universities to finish graduation.
Through our initiative SUMARGADARSHAK, we are supporting and mentoring 30 college students.
CELEBRATING A SAFE DIWALI
We celebrated this Diwali lighting lamps, the primary and high school children drawing rangoli and decorating the hall with lanterns. It was an auspicious day where in children came on stage to sing songs and read wishes in different languages. The Management and teachers lit the lamp along with the students aiming for the positive growth filled with love joy and hope for the future. The children were addressed to take safety measures while bursting crackers and celebrate an environmental friendly Diwali.
CELEBRATING KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA
Like every year we at SUKRUPA celebrated the Kannada Rajyostava. The students presented speeches, displayed charts on the rich heritage of Karnataka, discussed the importance of learning Kannada and threw light on the achievements of Kannadigas in various spheres of life. It was a wonderful celebration where students shared knowledge and got inspired by the importance of recognizing this auspicious day.
CHIGURU PROGRAM
The children participated in the Inter-school competitions and even won a few. It was great to hear the stories that the teachers who escorted the students and the students had to say. It was a very proud moment for us when the teachers mentioned that our children were nothing but well behaved and it felt nice when other teachers from other schools came up to ask which school our children belonged to because they were by far the most well behaved students there.
BANGALORE SCHOOL OF MUSIC
The SUKRUPA children’s choir performed at the Bangalore School of Music Christmas Carnival on the 17th of December. They were all in colorful top/shirts and lungis. The children h gave a magnificent show singing five songs among which two were German songs. Performing at various platforms and learning the art of music with dedication they are yet to be professional ones.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
Christmas is here and it is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at SUKRUPA celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. Our little children of the Pre-school presented the Nativity Scene, sang Christmas songs, and filled the air with festivity. Santa too made a grand entry in the program. The children came beautifully dressed and the class room was filled with bright and colorful bells, stockings and stars, created by the children....
A VISIT BY US CONSUL GENERAL
We were honored to have the US Consul general Phillip. A. Min and his beautiful wife Eun Young Lee with us on the 15th December 2016. It was wonderful to see him interacting with the children. He spoke about his experiences in India to the children and also asked them what they thought of the US, where he belongs from. The students were happy and excited to be able to ask him questions about America. He cracked jokes and made the children feel very comfortable about the conversation that they had. We thank Mr. Pradeep and Ms. Tanu from Smile Foundation.
PONGAL CELEBRATIONS
We, at SUKRUPA celebrated Pongal on the 14th of January to demonstrate the rich cultural heritage and facilitate the knowledge and tradition of this festival to be passed to the next generation.
OPEN DAY at SUKRUPA - Encouraging learning through creativity!!
On the 21st of January we held a Open House where children could experience education through creative learning. The children presented and displayed charts of diverse topics related to Science, English literature, Mathematics, Social sciences, Kannada and Hindi. The children were enthusiastic and excited to show case their learning’s.
We thank our Trustee Manu Konchady, FounderIExecutive Director Krupalatha Martin Dass, our Director Sathiaseelan, Guests, Teachers and Parents for gracing the occasion and making this day a memorable one.
LOVE CHANGES THE WORLD

The Sukrupa Children's Choir performed at the 'Love Changes the World' - A concert by the Children of The BAngalore of Music - BIOCON Outreach Project. It was a magnificent show by all the children who performed at the Concert. Our children performed four songs and they put up a wonderful show. Our director Mr.Sathiaseelan was honored on this special occasion. We thank 'The Bangalore School of Music' for giving our children an opportunity to learn music at the BSM and for their continued support.
EXECUTIVE VISIT – FIDELITY FINANCIAL INDIA
“SUKRUPA’s Nurturing Young Dreams” program supported by Fidelity Financial India was a successful one. Throughout the year the program did extremely well enriching the life skills of children through computer education, kabbadi, photography and organic gardening. We conducted various activities and created opportunities for children to experience a skill based education.
We were honoured to have the executive CEO team from Fidelity Financial India visit SUKRUPA. The Fidelity team had a wonderful time interacting with the children. The students showcased their learning from the program which was followed by cultural performances. On this special occasion we also inaugurated the computer lab at SUKRUPA. We thank Fidelity National Financial India for their continued support.
SUPRAJITH FOUNDATION
We thank Suprajith Foundation for providing scholarships to thirty students who are in college and graduation. We had the privilege of having the executives from the foundation to distribute the scholarships. Students along with their parents received the scholarships for their higher studies. The executives of the foundation also inspired the students to work hard, have dedication and give back to the society.
IMPRINTS OF 68th REPUBLIC DAY
Republic day symbolizes the solidarity of the country as it unites individuals from different regions, belief, religions and areas to commend the day with the pride of being an Indian. Special programs were organized at SUKRUPA to celebrate the 68th Republic day. Cultural performances and programs instilling the spirit of patriotism and nationalism were displayed by our children tracing the history and meaning of Republic Day.
ROTARY SAMBRAMA 2017
Our FounderIExecutive Director Mrs. Krupalatha Martin Dass had the privilege of being invited for the “First Rotary Conference Sambhrama-2017 RI District.-3181”. Our founder was honored to share the success and work that we do at SUKRUPA. It was a wonderful platform for more and more people to know about the children at SUKRUPA who receive high quality education, life skills and opportunities to dream big. Presenting the success stories and change that SUKRUPA has made in the lives of so many underprivileged children at the conference was a proud moment for all of us.
