Eleven students will graduate from Maya Jaguar Private Technical Institute in October 2026. Six of them are girls and three plan to apply for acceptance into university. They would like to pursue teaching degrees, nursing certification, and business administration qualifications. After completion of their studies, several of them would like to return to their high school as teachers - their choice to give back to the school that empowered them through edcuation.
To facilitate these aspirations, Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala is considering establishing a formal scholarship program for higher education, both university studies and vocational programs. This will require additional fundraising efforts for school year 2027 and beyond.
