A successful school year with excellent attendance and exam scores in the classrooms, with three girls graduating along six boys from the Maya Jaguar middle school. They will advance to high school next school year, beginning in January. Nine students are expected too graduate from high school in 2026. Five of them show potential to qualify for university studies, three of them are girls. Two of these girls may have already found sponsors for their university tuition; both would like to become teachers.
As part of their curriculum, students are now also practicing their technical skills in their communities. In a first community project, they offered instructional support and training in computer and electronics education in their communities.
