For 30+ years, Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala has worked with Maya communities in northwest Huehuetenango to empower children and families to improve generational poverty in their communities. Partnering with the Guatemalan nonprofit, Fundacion Para el Desarrollo Comunal de Huetuenango, our Maya Jaguar Private Technical Institute funds secondary education for underserved Maya in area villages. Our primary focus is on educational programs that emphasize rigorous academics, technical and vocational skills, leadership and self-reliance, to help graduates obtain gainful employment or qualify for university studies.
