BACK TO SCHOOL
In September, the children went back to school and we make sure they go. We are responsible for 21 children in Japoma's public and private schools. So far, thanks to your support, we've been able to fund the full cost of registration, schooling and examinations.
We have also paid the schooling fees for the 3 external students in our care. THANK YOU!!!
EDHEC TRAINEE
Since September 1, three interns from the prestigious EDHEC Business School have joined our team for a four-month assignment. Their help has been invaluable: helping with the children's homework, organizing a soccer tournament and fund-raising.
NEWCOMER
We welcomed Nadji, a child whose family lives in precarious conditions and is unable to meet its basic needs. He arrived at the Center in October, started school immediately and quickly integrated into the group.
NEW TEAM MEMBER
In October, our former dormitory master, a former resident of the Centre, had to leave to pursue his studies. We recruited a new dormitory master, resulting in a reorganization that is beneficial to the children's well-being.
EVENT / PARTNERSHIP
We have received support from several organizations who have donated food and clothing. However, Center AGAPE still greatly needs your help and support, as the costs of nutrition, welfare and education for a growing number of children are considerable.
-Thank you to Salam Allianz Assurance who mobilized their staff to spend a day with our children and donated food and money.
-Thank you to Mister Clean, who already employs one of our young people and has made a generous donation to support the Center.
-Thanks to Lycée Français Dominique Savio, who welcomed 7 of our children to a career day, encouraging them to think about their careers, and who organized a toy and food drive.
Finally, we are working on opening a training center to secure long-term funding for the association. An application has been made to the Japanese Embassy to support this project. If you would like more information or can help us in this way, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This good news motivates us all for our children.
CHRISTMAS VACATIONS
At the end of the month, some of the children will spend a few days with their families, after a Christmas party organized by the team, with songs, sketches and snacks.
