UPDATE ON THE CHILDREN
We're also pleased to report that most of our children progressed to the next class in the 2025/2026 school year, with the lone repeater receiving extra support during the summer break.Sadly, many of our children recently battled measles, with two cases requiring hospitalization. We're grateful for the medical care they received and are working to ensure all children are up-to-date on vaccinations.
POULTRY FARM
We're excited to announce the launch and ongoing sales of our fourth batch of chicken! This initiative aims to improve the nutrition of our children and generate funds for the center's operations. We're hopeful that the fifth batch will follow soon after the fourth batch
MEET JUNIOR
One of our young residents, Junior (9), one of the two hospitalized has overcome significant challenges, including epilepsy and abandonment by his parents. Thanks to treatment from a neuro-pediatrician, he's made great progress and is now thriving though becoming violent and always moody.
NEW VOLUNTEERS ON BOARD!
We're delighted to welcome two interns from EDHEC Business School, who joined us on June 1st, 2026! They'll be assisting with education, leisure activities, and fundraising, while sharing their skills in English language and physical education.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Mark your calendars for the AGAPE Solidarity Soccer Tournament (October 24, 2026) and Charity Gala (October 30, 2026)! These events will support the completion of our lodge and boost income-generating activities, moving us closer to autonomy.
CHALLENGES AND NEEDS
We're facing pressing needs, including school fees, nutrition, staff salaries, and healthcare. Any assistance with essential goods and/or money would be greatly appreciated.
LOOKING AHEAD
We're excited about our plans to complete our building, equip our events hall, expand our poultry farm, and establish a professional training center. Our goal is to make the AGAPE Center self-sustaining and continue serving vulnerable children.
