Restore Hearing to 100 Children in Panama

Working for the hearing of Panamanian children is a complex and multidimensional task, which requires not only voluntary hands and many resources, but the promotion of a culture on an invisible and often ignored issue, at all ages.

For this reason, we share with a lot of joy that one more year we managed to raise awareness about the importance of hearing care thanks to the development of the Just 1 minute (#Solo1Minuto) of Silence Campaign where companies, universities, schools, government institutions, family and friends joined us in this initiative where everyone took a minute of silence to raise awareness of the need for a world with less noise and more hearing health.

In a very special way, our sisters foundations: Rafael Meza Ayau Foundation and FUSNINPE from El Salvador, also joined at this important moment.

This is how we made another step towards a society more aware of hearing problems, and of the attention that must be given so, from children to adults, can preserve in the best way this precious gift.

In the year we have just said goodbye, we benefited 175 persons with hearing aid adaptations that allowed them to hear the voices of their beloved ones again. Of these, 19 were children between 0 and 17 years old, whom, thanks to your collaboration, we were able to help giving them a chance to listen.

From the beginning, this mission has been arduous but rewarding. We have faced many challenges, but at the same time there have been countless moments that remind us the importance of the task we have in our hands and of the lives we transform.

Every year our patients and donors continue to grow, as a sign that human solidarity emerges where it is most needed, and for this reason, on this occasion we want to thank you and make you participate in these significant numbers for us; those we couldn’t have reached without your support.

In this new year we have an immense desire to continue reaching more lives, to continue sharing with you every step of our mission and accompany our patients in every new sound they discover.
