Winning 2 of 4 awards is an honor and reaffirms the need to work with passion for a better world. Each of us contributing and being part of the changes we want to see in the world.

SAN JOSE DE MALAMBO ORPHANAGE
We are happy to have taken free hearing screening tests to the children of the San José de Malambo Orphanage. The care was provided to 30 children between newborns and 4 years old. We take advantage of our visit to give them our educational story Knowing Lorenzo
In this way we ensure that detecting a hearing loss early we can treat it to give the child the best chance to develop their language on time.
ABC n ME SCHOOL
The ABC n Me School every year show us their support by granting us a donation product of their “Bake Sale”. Infinite thanks for seeing value in our work and supporting it. The delivery was made by the school director: Marianela Pitty and received by Aminta Miranda, member of the board of directors of the foundation and Gabriela Mejía administrative director.
This donation allows us to continue taking Auditory Screening tests for public school children who also need the test.
FIRST START CENTER
Thanks to the First Start Center for trust placed in order to be able to perform the hearing and language tests for their students.
Why is it important to do it? Because at first sight neither parents nor teachers can know if a child hears well.

LIONS CLUBS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
We assist LIONS CLUBS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, in their tour conducted at the Ricardo J. Alfaro School at Tocumen community. Our collaboration was with the attention of around 140 children between 5 and 12 years old performing collective audiometry
SERVING OTHER FOUNDATIONS IS ALSO PART OF WHAT WE DO.
We offered free hearing tests - collective audiometries and hearing screening for more than 50 children and young people from the SOS Children's Villages. In this way we contribute to a better Panama for all.Thanks!!!!!!
We thank EMPRESAS MELO who on October 12, 2018 gave tribute to Panamanian talent and energy, recognizing the work and dedication of 10 Panamanian altruists among those who told FUNDACION OIR ES VIVIR.
Distinguishes us with this significant trophy for our work in favor of early detection of hearing loss and our management to support those who suffer from them by offering solutions that allow them to lead a full and productive life.
UPDATE SEMINAR
SEMINAR DICTATED BY LICDA. ANALIDA PITTY, with the topic: “Disorders of the Central Auditory Processes”
This teaching was very interesting because it brings new knowledge and nourishes us with questions in some patients whose lives are affected by this type of pathologies.
The most rewarding work is that which is done with love!

DONATION OF HEARING AIDS BY STARKEY FOUNDATION
We collaborated in the day of donation of hearing aids by the Starkey Foundation, held at the facilities of the IPHE of Betania. Through this donation, around 200 people of all ages who needed hearing aids were able to benefit, among whom there were around 35 patients referred by our Foundation!

TEN YEARS!!!!!!! FUNDACION OIR ES VIVIR….. doing GREAT!!!!!
Giving the "Gift of Sound" to those who can not listen, was what in 2008 motivated Dr. Cynthia Guy to start the operations of Fundación Oír es Vivir en Panamá. Motivated by a family affection, the doctor lives deafness first hand and decides to undertake the work to help others.
In the first three years of operation, 18 patients were implanted, between children and adults; and they are supported by language therapies. This solution, however, is very expensive, so new strategies are sought to continue providing more accessible support.
Since 2011, the Foundation makes a turn to benefit a greater number of patients and that is when the Comprehensive Center for Hearing Health (CISA) is formed, a complete facility that offers all audiological services under one roof, thus facilitating to patients and their families, greater possibilities of accessing solutions that are within their reach.
Today and under the direction of its President Giovanna Troncoso, mother who lives through two of her children's hearing loss, we provide services both at the Center and through a mobile program that reaches schools, companies, shelters, foundations, rural and indigenous communities in our country.

We continue to encourage companies to continue carrying our program and be able to audition their employees. Thanks ARIAS, FABREGA & FABREGA.
Also, we did tests to the students of the Interamerican Academy of Panama under the LEARNING LISTENING PROGRAM.
Panamanian Arab International Academy located at the sector of Margarita, Colón, also request the hearing test to their students.
Thomas Jefferson School, between the ages of 3 and 16, these attentions were given with the collaboration of UDELAS seventh-semester students.
We did test to the children of the Soccer Academy "Roman Torres" where we will instruct parents and children about the care of the ears.

Hearing Aids for Children and Adults ... because Hearing is Living
Under the donation program of hearing aids we have with MIDES, we adapt hearing aids to adults and children. It is a pleasure to support them so that they can hear.
The care of the hearing aids includes us all ... that's why Mr. Gierhat's wife helps and learns about their use. It is important that when you receive your hearing aids, whether you are big or small, you are accompanied by a family member who provides support.
We offer Language Tests and Language Therapies for Children.
Our team of speech therapists is ready to offer your children language tests and therapies that help them improve the performance of their language. We offer these services also on Saturdays until noon.

Thanks to the National Library we can deliver our Storybook "Knowing Lorenzo" through the Public Libraries throughout the country. In this way we contribute so that more Panamanian families have access to information and education on the topic of deafness and hearing loss.

Hearing Aids for Children and Adults ... because Hearing is Living
During the month of March we had a donation day of hearing aids in conjunction with MIDES where we were able to return the gift of sound to many people.
During this day we could benefit both children and adults, here we can see the molds taking which took 30 days to be ready to start the last phase of this day that was the hearing aid fitting.

The American Society of Panama, invited us to share their traditional Thanksgiving lunch, where they were also invited Juan and Johan, children with hearing loss captured on the tour to La Pintada and who already enjoy the gift of sound through the donation of headphones and was possible thanks to this sponsor.
