Dear friend,
We are thrilled to report that our expansion of the Tutorial Relationships methodology continues at full speed ahead because of donors like you! We bring educational innovation to at-risk public schools, and each time we enter a school, we begin to see the inspiring transformation experienced by these students. For the first time, students become the protagonists of their own learning process, and time after time we hear how much more interested they are in being in the classroom! Tutorial Relationships emphasizes 21st Century skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This approach provides vulnerable students the tools they need to connect with professional opportunities in the future and better navigate the world outside of work as well.
In May, the Escuela de Salamanca school in northern Chile got on board with Tutorial Relationships. Pioneer tutors there (both teachers and students) are now being trained and are on their way to full implementation with peers in the months to come. Your donations help Educación 2020 train our pioneer students and teachers in this UN-backed methodology, and then they take ownership of the process from there!
In June, the schools Tierra de Esperanza, María Alvarado Garai, and Escuela Manuel Anabalón Sáez in Chile's southern Panguipulli region joined our Tutorial Relationships network and are already excited about the changes to come. We will be back in touch soon with an update about how this innovation is changing the learning paradigm for students from vulnerable communities and reconnecting them to a love of learning.
Thank you again for your generious support, we could not do this without you!
Un abrazo,
El equipo de Educación 2020
