In B.D.P. School Barauli, Block Baldev, District Mathura, U.P. India geographically located at a distance of 200 Km. from Delhi and 30 Km. from Mathura/Agra. A formal and informal education is imparted to the rural under privileged poor children. This school is different from other school since we give value added education along with formal education so as to develop the students over all prospective of their physical and mental personality. This makes them a good responsible citizen who can compete with the students developed in urban areas. This is more important and necessary since India has a sizeable rural population where there is a scarcity of good education in rural areas.

Because of low family income most of the parents who are either small farmers or daily wage earners send their children to work in the fields to earn some money and do not send them to school, children are deprived of their basic rights of education. The age in which they should play and get education which ultimately develops them to compete in their future life is not available and remains confined to do the labor jobs only or go to bad habits which spoil their whole future life.

The children from such families are brought to B.D.P. School and are given free or subsidized education. The parents are not burdened much for the child’s education and children also get opportunity to come to school and get education. Further to motivate the children to come to school a Mid morning meal is served which not only motivates them but keeps them healthy. The children after completing the education either goes for higher education or for some skilled work and earned money which adds to their family income and thus they can live a better healthy life.

In the value added education both boys and girls are given basic computer education starting from Grade III which makes them capable of coping with other students in higher education as well as going for further higher courses in computer education and they can make this as a career for themselves, such facilities are not available in the other rural villages.

The girls and village women are given training in tailoring, stitching, embroidery, handicrafts etc. After completion of the training the girls can stitch clothes of village people and earn money for their families. The village women become self independent and can run their families by using this skill.
