The peace school has arranged a documentary and de briefing of the documentary for the students. The objective was to educate the children on the issues of Child Labour and Child Abuse. The Staff further discuss and de brief the students on the content and the students shared their views and shared their experiences as well. The aim was also to make students aware of the issues happening around. The COVID precautions were followed and implemented during the activity.

Community Visits to increase the enrolments in School:

The school staff visited door to door to increase the enrolments for the school. Due to COVID the schools were closed as per Government instructions and the community started sending their kids as daily wagers. The staff started mobilization in the community and educate them to send their children in schools instead of workplaces.

Independence Day Celebrations-Green the World:

The independent day was commemorated with the school children. The theme was like every year to green the world. The teachers aware the students about the need to plants and trees, and then the students sow the seeds of happiness. The students adopted the plants and were committed to look after them for their own environment and for the Mother Nature.

The mask distribution for the students was arranged. The staff briefed the students about the significance of the mask wearing and the importance of social distancing during the pandemic.

Staff Meeting

Regular staff meeting was held in the peace school. The overall progress and the future startigies were discussed in the meeting. the staff suggestions were also noted down regarding the reopening of the school and the sechudule of the classes following the COVID precautions.

Follow ups with Parents:

During the COVID period it was discussed and finalized among the school staff that the staff will ask mothers to regularly visit the school on alternative days, and took the homework and get the previous checked. However, the online classes were also under consideration, but the field realities were different as the availability of the smart phones was not possible at every home.

The practical option was to call the mothers or one of the parents at school and give them homework for the children. The mother brought the done homework with them and took the new from the students. That helped to cover the syllabus for the students.
