Alia is 10 years old and younger among the 6 siblings, her family has migrated from south Punjab for seeking livelihood as her partners were working as bonded labor there at a former local landlord. Her father is working as a street vendor and her mother is a factory worker. Like most of the other households, her family is also living in a rented place. The total income of the household was 20 thousand per month before COVID. After COVID her mother lost her job and during the lockdown, her father also suffered a lot due to the restrictions on different work and occupations. Her mother is now working from home and Alia is also helping her in her home-based work, her other siblings are also working with her mother so that the family can earn their livelihood. She is very disturbed due to the lockdown and closing of schools. She missed her friends from school and school life. She said distant learning is difficult for her as she cannot focus on her studies due to her environment at home. The 08 family members are living in one room and she cannot spare time for studies. She wanted to become a teacher in the future.
