Over all highlights of the Scholarship Activities:

  • We received 4200 applications from Meritorious but economically challenged students during the year. After Home visits, we could assist 338 such students under the Nurture Merit scheme.
  • Through Matching Grants Program, we partnered with 13 Degree colleges and supported 236 students for pursuing their degree course.
  • A total of 1516 students were supported to continue their post 10th class education.
  • During the year, 60% of the total student beneficiaries were girls.

Highlights of the Library Activities:

  •  In all, 9486 students utilized the library facilities through our 6 library centers. Branch wise details are as below
  •  Students were supported with the library facilities like Computer, Internet, Reprography, display of newspaper clippings carrying important articles, awareness programmes on Competitive Examinations, Career Counseling & Guidance, supply of previous years’ question papers, etc.
  • Conducted workshop on “What after Graduation” for students pursuing non-professional courses.
  • Organized session on “Study Techniques for Desired Results” for Class XI completed Students
  • ICICI-TVS training campus recruitment drive was organized at the 5 branch Libraries of Vidya Poshak. A total of 17 campus recruitment drives were organized in which 554 students participated.
  • Online application facility for various exams was offered free for Vidya Poshak scholars and for registered member students. 

Residential Bridge camp

Residential bridge camp is an important component of the training package offered to the student community by Vidya Poshak. It, in fact, is a bridge between the student and his dreams

During the year, 12 residential bridge camps and four college training programs were organized at various places covering a total of 639 students. Out of 639 students 100 were Kannada Sangha Hong Kong supported students.
