Poverty not barrier for Education - Nurture Merit

Dear Well Wishers

We would like to thank you for the support in the noble cause of nurturing meritorious but economically challenged students.

We are delighted to share class XI and XII results of student(s) supported by your valuable donation during the academic year 2014-15. Analysis of Class XIth and XIIth results for your kind attention (Attached as Picture)

Highlights

• 2500 + new students applied for financial assistance from across 12 districts of Karnataka.

• Out of these applications 50% applicants scored more than 90% and 40% of the applicants scored between 80% to 90%

• 98.5% of the 403 students have cleared the class-11 exams with an average score of 76.90%. More than 25 students are toppers in their colleges. 12% of the students scored more than 90%. 27% of the students passed in distinction class.

Currently, we are in the process of ensuring continued support for these student(s) to help them continue their education. Hence, it is our humble request to you to consider the feasibility of extending your support to these student(s) for the year 2015-2016 also.

Greetings, Thank you very much for your support to our mission "Poverty should not be a barrier for Education". We would like to take this opportunity to appreciate your kind gesture in extending a helping hand for the noble cause of nurturing meritorious but economically challenged students.

Your valuable donation utilized to support the following activities under the ‘Nurture Merit’ program. Following is the updates and highlights for the year 2014-15.

Till date more than 4000 students completed graduation and brought their families out of poverty forever. Overall more than 250 Million has been invested for Empowerment of Youth. This would not have been possible without your support & guidance.

Nurture Merit Program Highlights for 2014

1. 2012+ Students assisted financially to continue their Education with an overall contribution of INR 110.0 Lakhs directly by Vidya Poshak in 10 districts.
2. More than 80 students studying in Engineering streams are placed through campus placements with an average salary of INR 3,30,000 per annum
3. 150+ students who have completed general degree courses have been placed in reputed companies.
4.  6 Libraries & 28 book bank centers are extending free library services to the needy student community.
5. 156467 students utilized library services including the computer facilities (Between April 2014 – Feb 2015 ). Now we have overall more than 77,000 books worth 9.3 Million Indian Rupees.
6. 1400+ Students were assisted to continue their higher education by our partners with a fund of INR 64.0 Lakhs. 
7. 100% Applicants home was visited by the volunteers.
8. 545 student’s successfully completed graduation during the year 2013-14.  
9. 50+ students cleared  CPT&IPCC Exams (An Entrance exam of Charted accountancy)
