Help Improve Financial Literacy in Deep East Texas

The L.I.F.E. program has taken off! With the newly formed footholds at the Prairie View A&M University, Stephen F. Austin University, and Lufkin I.S.D., the program has seen an influx of new students. Your assistance has made a profound impact on our ability to serve more students. 

We're also proud to announce the launch of a new program called Generation A which will focus on the mentorship and empowerment of 6th - 12th graders. We're committed to influencing the next generation of leaders in our community as early as we can. In the future, we'd like to start even sooner than middle school. We've already received commitments from several volunteers, and we've documented our curriculum which will focus on financial literacy, personal accountability, professional etiquette, and goal setting. Our pilot program will consist of ten middle school students in the 6th and 7th grades and will expand to 20-30 in the fall. We're extremely excited to offer this program and it is yet another way we can make a positive impact on lives. 

Once again, we would like to express our gratitude to all who have made a decision to support us in our efforts. Every dollar raised is one that will be used toward touching a life. We're looking to not only change a life, but also a family tree!

Dear Supporters,

Since our successful fundraising campaign, we have put our hands to the plow and have gotten busy! We have revamped our website and we have expanded how we are capable of educating our students. We are in the trial phase of our vitrual coaching program which would allow us to provide a quality financial education virtually through YouTube and Google Hangouts! We already have two (2) students in that program and one who is near graduation!

Secondly, we have been asked to speak at the Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. The event was a success. With over twenty (20) bright young minds in attendence, we were able to plant seeds which will change how these students think about budgeting, saving, and giving. The end of class was filled with questions as to how they could positively impact future generations with today's decisions! We were invited back for another session in February and graciously accepted. They're very eager to become givers, and we look forward to watching these young men and women progress and become the future stewards of this world.

Finally, we were able to begin a new class in Lufkin, TX which consists of 6 students. We provided 100% of the books and other supplies needed to educate them. We already have a list of referrals for the next class in 2017! Our Phase 2 class is also growing. We now have over ten (10) students who are learning how to invest and are looking for ways to give back to our community! We also recorded a Public Service Announcement (PSA) with a local radio station and will launch a marketing campaign in 2017 to get the word out about our phenomenal program. Our partnership with IMPACT Lufkin is getting stronger as we continue to work together to breathe L.I.F.E. back into East Texas!
