Generation A Class
Generation A Class

Fellow Supporters,

The day has finally come where we are actively engaging students throughout Generation A (Gen A) program within the Lufkin Independent School District! This partnership allows us to provide in-school mentorship for twenty-three (23) at-risk students from their Sixth Grade year until their 12th Grade year. Each year we will add approximately 20-25 students. When the program is fully functional, we will have up to 175 students within seven years. We will focus on character-building, goal setting, personal finance, investments, entrepreneurship and much more! Stay tuned as we look to expand this program.

Next, we've completed the first course (Personal Finance) within our newly created online LIFE Academy! This is a major development which broadens our potential audience. Now, anyone in the world may access our curriculum on any computer or any mobile device! In fact, our partner (Worldclass) has both Android and iOS apps available in their respective app stores. Feel free to take a look at life.worldclass.io.

Lastly, we have rebranded our website to become more functional for those who use mobile devices. Please take the time to look around. We now have links to our online banking partner Chime Bank who is committed to providing free accounts to their customers without the possibility of incurring overdraft charges. They also provide free bill pay and a free savings account! Our pre-paid debit card partner CashPass is also featured on our page. The CashPass card allows parents to teach their children money management and budgeting from the age of 13!

Your support has driven us to this point in our journey. There is so much more to come, but we need you now more than ever. As we expand and mature as an organization, fulfilling our mission will only be possible with the generous support of people and organizations who share our passion. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

We are excited to announce that we have launched the first iteration of our online classroom! For years, we have dreamed of being able to deliver our curriculum through a 100% online format. Finally, that day has come! Our first iteration of an online course was recently launched with the entire Personal Finance curriculum included. More courses will follow when the second iteration is launched.

Through our partnerships, we've also expanded the number of students we're getting in front of. We've added a separate Homeownership course to meet a need we've had here in Lufkin to better prepare individuals to be homeowners.

There will be plenty of new announcements in our next update, so stay tuned! Thanks for your support. Without you, none of this would be possible.

The LIFE project is alive and well! Our online classroom for the Personal Finance section of our curriculum is near completion. We are expecting this project to be completed by the end of May 2018.

We were fortunate to work with four interns over the past semester and are close to hiring one of them. This would dramatically improve our ability to accelerate growth and reach a broader market. We are planning to expand our service area from two counties to a twelve county region known as "Deep East Texas"

Stay tuned! This quarter will be one of the most important in our short history. Much of the work we've been working on will come to fruition, and we're excited!

To All of Our Supporters,

It's already 2018 and we've hit the ground running! L.I.F.E. recently hosted our Inaugural Banquet which was a tremendous success. With over 150 guests in attendance, we were able to showcase our students who all were great in their presentations. The banquet afforded us the opportunity to get the word out in our community in a very personal way.

We have been recently selected by the T.L.L. Temple Foundation to serve as the administrator of a newly formed small grants program designed to benefit the residents of North Lukfin. We've also had a largest enrollment into our Adult L.I.F.E. Personal Finance course since we began operating. Our partnership with the Men of Achievement (a student organization at Stephen F. Austin University) has yielded a student enrollment of over 30 for the current semester.

As we strengthen our partnerships, L.I.F.E. will grow leaps and bounds. Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned!

Respectfully,

Joseph Ceasar

Dear Supporters of L.I.F.E.,

Our expansion is continuing at a rapid pace! We currently have our largest student body since we began operations. We currently have over 50 students between all of our programs!

This semester, we have launched "Campus L.I.F.E." which is our program we've launched at Stephen F. Austin State University in partnership with Men of Achievement (a student organization). We have just over 20 students in this pilot program and will open the class up to the entire student body next semester. With the establishment of "Campus L.I.F.E.", we now have finalized our program offerings among our various target audiences.

- Adult L.I.F.E. (for adults)

- Campus L.I.F.E. (for college students)

- Generation A (for grade school students)

Generation A is the next area of focus for the upcoming quarter. We are currently in negotiations with a charter school in the Lufkin area as we seek partners to help launch this program. Once launched, our student population will increase beyond 100.

While we are very busy, we are looking to do some great things in 2018. We would like to bring on a full-time employee, expand the Campus L.I.F.E. program to Angelina College, and expand Generation A to Lufkin I.S.D. Our goal is to educate 500 students in 2018 and we need your help! Please help us attain our goal of raising the much needed $50,000 for us to accomplish our mission!

Thank you for supporting this work. Without you, none of this would be possible!
