ÇYDD mentorship project is now in its 5^th year and this year we have more than 180 pairs (mentor and menti) joining the program (10% above our projections for 2016-2017). We are now carrying out the project in 7 cities (Istanbul, Kocaeli, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa, Çanakkale and Mugla).

The project’s primary aim was to help the personal development of the university students and to build their self-confidence. However the mentors also have immensely benefited from this program as well as the CYDD branch coordinators and mentor-menti trainers. More and more reputable business people are applying to be mentors.

As all trainers and mentors are volunteers, the project cost is relatively low. However we wish to expand the project gradually to every one of the 108 CYDD branches. This means an increase in travel and accommodation cost for mentor-menti trainers and in organization cost of several year-end and team building meetings and activities. Moreover the project website needs to be restructured for easier survey of the pair relations and evaluations by the project general coordinator.

We do need your support to expand the project so that more students can benefit from this well designed project.

ÇYDD believes that giving scholarship to university students is very important and helps them to continue their schooling with less worries. However these students who live and study in cities away from their hometown face many problems.The mentorship project aims to help them to communicate their problems with their mentors, find solutions and thus build their self confidence.

In the past 4 years of the project , 363 pairs (mentor/menti) benefited and 61% of the menti students were girls.This year the project aim is 160 pairs from 7 different cities.As project evolves we have mentor candidates from reputable companies who also become role models for the students.

The project mentors are volunteers and the project budget is small -mainly covering travel and training costs.But we do need your support to keep it going and to have the project expand.
