Mosquito Borne Disease Prevention & Mass Awareness

By Team | RSKS India

Respected Donor !

Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family ......

It is often seen in the slum and street areas that the people living over there are sick many times. They are vulnerable to all the diseases as they are not living in a proper house and even they do not have anything to protect themselves. Also they lack of the information that how they could protect themselves. Most of the times it is seen that they get sick due to the mosquito borne diseases as they are not having anything to protect themselves from the mosquitoes and also they do not know the ways of making the mosquito not born in their nearby places. They find the mosquito borne diseases so light that many times they ignore the signs of very big trouble and due to this many slum and street people around the world loose their lives due to mosquito diseases. One of the common diseases is the malaria & dengu which is caused due to the mosquito bite. Awareness about the precaution, prevention and identification of the malaria & dengu disease must be told to the slum and street people.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan knew the importance of awareness among these slum and street communities and hence organized Mass Awareness (Through Charts, Snake Ladder Game, Stories & Flipchart) Program About Prevention and Treatment of Mosquito-Borne Diseases under the Kill Malaria Save Human Life project of RSKS India. Under this program, more than 500 slum and street people from 20 different slum and street locations were selected for the awareness workshop. The awareness workshop started with making these people understand about the Malaria disease and then prevention from it and at last treatment of it through using flipcharts and charts. After this all the people were gathered to play Snake and Ladder game so that they could understand about what to do and what not to do in order to protect themselves from the life threatening disease.

The Mass Awareness (Through Charts, Snake Ladder Game, Stories & Flipchart) Program About Prevention and Treatment of Mosquito-Borne Diseases lead to a very good initiative among the slum and street people as now they always keep their places clean and always clear the lodged water near them. These slum and street people now have knowledge about what to do when someone is having symptoms of dengu & malaria. These people will now not wait at their homes these people will go to hospitals. The slum and street people also understood that the dengu & malaria disease could be prevented by taking little care about cleanliness around their shelters. Also these people will not let their children play without clothes as clothes could be small protection from the mosquito bite. All the slum and street people thanked RSKS India and donors from bottom of their heart for conducting such a wonderful awareness program at their slums.

Once again thank you so much for your valuable Support.

Many Regards
