RSKS India Family wishes you a Happy & Joyful Holiday Season
Today's unemployment has increased due to limited resources of employment, its effect is seen all around. This effect is being seen in rural areas also, especially women & girls from poor and deprived communities who have no means of employment. At such a time, a step was taken by the RSKS Organization to make the poor woman & girls self-reliant which is as follows.
After conducting a baseline survey of advance tailoring training at village Makrera by RSKS organization an interview was done with them.
After this phase, 15 poor, deprived and needy women were selected for advance tailoring training.
Advance tailoring training was inaugurated by the organization with the presence of village officers and organization officers and training women.
The inauguration program was organized with complete care of safety and security.
The outline of training in the respective master training in the program was explained to women and young girls.
The medium of training was kept theoretical as well as practical so that women would be able to take training easily.
Special attention was taken to maintain social distance by dividing 15 women of advance tailoring in batches of tranees and sanitizer was also provided for cleanliness.
*. Women & girls are receiving training with regular social distance. *. The master trainer is teaching women how to sew lehengas, blouses, Rajputi dresses, salwar suits etc. *. Women and young girls are moving towards self-employment. *. Women's confidence has increased after coming into training.
All the women undergoing training are from poor and underprivileged communities, so women will learn self-employment by sewing and earn income while sitting at home. With the employment of these women, their confidence will increase and they will get equal position as men in the society, which will bring equality in the society.
Many Thanks Team RSKS India

Children living in slums & street do not celebrate the festivals like people living in the city do. They are busy collecting garbage and earning penny from it because from that penny they get food to eat. They do not know the importance or why the festivals are celebrated? In order to let them know about the importance and also celebrate the festival of light also known as Diwali, RSKS India conducted Diwali Program in which RSKS Team members did following activities with them:-
All the 300 children from different slums were identified and survey was done.
Children from rural remote areas were also included in the survey.
Children along with their parents were gathered at a location where RSKS Team members told them about the importance of Diwali festival.
Sweets packet were distributed to all the slum and rural remote village children and all of them shared their sweets with each other.
New ethnic dresses were given to all the 300 children so that they can wear them during the festival and also celebrate the festival with new energy.
Slum and rural children also performed activities like dancing, singing, poem reciting etc in front of each other to showcase their talent to everyone.
Feedback was taken from their parents by which RSKS team can initiate the program in more better way next year.
This program was being appraised by the local authorities, parents of slum and rural remote village children, neighbours, village people etc. as this program not only gave them the knowledge of diwali festival but also made their Diwali more colourful and beautiful. Everyone thanked RSKS team from bottom of their heart.

Menstruation is a part of the life of girls. Women need to take special care of safety and hygiene during menstruation but even today it is seen that women and girls in rural and urban slum areas are not aware of menstrual health. Women are using non-traditional means such as old cloth, cotton, newspaper during menstruation. These women do not understand the importance of sanitary napkins. In the Corona era, the sanitary napkin was out of reach of women.
The program for menstrual health awareness was organized by the RSKS Organization in collaboration with GlobalGiving. RSKS workers gave girls and women information about menstrual health through flip charts, posters, etc., as well as the utility of sanitary napkins by following the social distancing under the workshop organized there by selecting around 1500 women & girls of 15 inaccessible regional villages by the organization. Also explained through awareness videos, women got information about easy menstrual health. Under the workshop, the women openly inquired about their questions.
Free sanitary napkins were distributed to all women at the end of the program. A total of 2000 sanitary napkinspacketswere distributed by the organization. At the end of the program, the message was given to women and young girls to use sanitary napkins. All the women and girls praised the program. Information of the program were also given to the authorities of villages, they also appreciated this program of RSKS and proposed to conduct such awareness programs from time to time. All the women thanked. Through this program, women became aware and also understood the usefulness of sanitary napkins.
