Respected Donor Namaste!!

Slum and street people do not get proper sleep many times and there are many reasons behind it. One of them is mosquito, mosquitoes are responsible for many illness and life threatening diseases like malaria, dengue etc. These slum and street people do not have so much money to build a house so they live in small huts/shelters which are not properly covered hence mosquitoes could easily come and make someone ill. Nor these people have proper resources to face the mosquitoes and protect themselves from the life threatening diseases caused due to these small insects. These people do require protection from the mosquitoes in order to have a better sleep and also to have better health.

In this context, RSKS India already three month ago distributed 500 medicated mosquito nets to 500 slum and street families which hence was able to protect more than 1500 people of these families. The team went to do the feedback of the program and to listen to the review of the families. These feedbacks are used to make program better in the future and also to know about the effectiveness of the program. RSKS India Collected the feedback to ensure the beneficiary participation at all the stages. The team went door to door at the beneficiaries of the Kill Malaria, Save Human life program of RSKS India to identify the condition of the mosquito net which was earlier distributed by RSKS India.

The RSKS team found out many positive results of the program and the most important one was this that the ill or sick cases from these families were reduced gradually. The slum and street families had a sigh of relief due to the Kill Malaria, Save Human life program of RSKS India. It had saved many lives in the slum and street children. These people are following all the safety like not letting water to lodge nearby their slums, adopting cleanliness, sleeping inside mosquito nets etc. These people are now sleeping with ease and are having proper sleep at night. This program of RSKS India not only solved the issues of malaria it also solved the issues related to hygiene, cleanliness and the diseases caused due to mosquito as now the slum and street families have adopted good practices to not let mosquito ruin their life. All of the slum and street people thanked RSKS India & Donors from bottom of their heart for this wonderful support.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, RSKS India would like to thank you for your generous donation to help them.

Respected Donor !

Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family ......

It is often seen in the slum and street areas that the people living over there are sick many times. They are vulnerable to all the diseases as they are not living in a proper house and even they do not have anything to protect themselves. Also they lack of the information that how they could protect themselves. Most of the times it is seen that they get sick due to the mosquito borne diseases as they are not having anything to protect themselves from the mosquitoes and also they do not know the ways of making the mosquito not born in their nearby places. They find the mosquito borne diseases so light that many times they ignore the signs of very big trouble and due to this many slum and street people around the world loose their lives due to mosquito diseases. One of the common diseases is the malaria & dengu which is caused due to the mosquito bite. Awareness about the precaution, prevention and identification of the malaria & dengu disease must be told to the slum and street people.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan knew the importance of awareness among these slum and street communities and hence organized Mass Awareness (Through Charts, Snake Ladder Game, Stories & Flipchart) Program About Prevention and Treatment of Mosquito-Borne Diseases under the Kill Malaria Save Human Life project of RSKS India. Under this program, more than 500 slum and street people from 20 different slum and street locations were selected for the awareness workshop. The awareness workshop started with making these people understand about the Malaria disease and then prevention from it and at last treatment of it through using flipcharts and charts. After this all the people were gathered to play Snake and Ladder game so that they could understand about what to do and what not to do in order to protect themselves from the life threatening disease.

The Mass Awareness (Through Charts, Snake Ladder Game, Stories & Flipchart) Program About Prevention and Treatment of Mosquito-Borne Diseases lead to a very good initiative among the slum and street people as now they always keep their places clean and always clear the lodged water near them. These slum and street people now have knowledge about what to do when someone is having symptoms of dengu & malaria. These people will now not wait at their homes these people will go to hospitals. The slum and street people also understood that the dengu & malaria disease could be prevented by taking little care about cleanliness around their shelters. Also these people will not let their children play without clothes as clothes could be small protection from the mosquito bite. All the slum and street people thanked RSKS India and donors from bottom of their heart for conducting such a wonderful awareness program at their slums.

Once again thank you so much for your valuable Support.

Many Regards

Respected Donor Namaste!!

Every year, millions of people in India and around the world are exposed to mosquito-borne diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, etc. which causes them health damage. For poor, underprivileged, nomadic and slum dwellers, this disease can be fatal, mainly due to their weak health. During the rainy season, the number of victims of mosquito-borne diseases suddenly increases.

The ''Kill Malaria, Save Human Life'' Project of RSKS India is organized for the prevention, treatment and awareness of the poor, slum and nomadic people from mosquito-borne diseases. In this context, quality mosquito nets were provided by the organization to more than 500 people of 20 slum areas and the RSKS team helped in setting up mosquito nets on the huts of the beneficiaries at the ground level.

In this program people were made aware about prevention and treatment of Malaria and Dengue. People also gave their positive feedback. Along with this, the team informed the slum people about the main reasons of malaria and did cleanliness of the dirty water logging in their area. These 500 people got very happy after getting these mosquito nets, now these beneficiaries are taking a safe sleep because of mosquito nets. As well as this meaningful program done before monsoon will definitely reduce the cases of malaria.

Dear friends and donors, you’re valuable suggestions are welcomed for this noble work. Please do provide your suggestions in the comment box so that Empowerment of marginalized community may be more successful.
