Dear Friend Namaste,
Hope you & your family Safe & Healthy!!
People who visits Rajasthan do hear the Sarangi, Rawanhattha, Kamayacha, Morchang and Ektara or see the mesmerising dance of kalbeliya and become a fan of Rajasthani folk art. Today in this fight against covid-19, folk artists are facing a lot of trouble as their earning was on daily basis as they used to perform at weddings or on occasions/event for their daily livelihood and due to covid-19 pandemic they are unable to find employment for themselves. They are living in their huts as they didn't had any protective mateiral against corona virus and are facing many problems in which the biggest one is the financial problem as because of it they are unable to cook two time meals and get protection against Covid-19.
RSKS India marked their location and did a baseline survey over there in order to provide relief to these Rajasthani folk artists. 50 Rajasthani folk artists families were supported by RSKS India and ration FOOD kit were distributed them which contained around 20 kg dry ration (flour, pulses, oil, sugar, salt, spices etc) and along with this hygiene kit was also distributed to them which contained masks, sanitizers, handkerchiefs etc. Awareness program was also done with them in which social distancing, use of masks, importance of washing hands were the prime focus. They were also encouraged to find employment.
These Rajsthani traditional Folk Artists families can now easily cook two times meal for a month through the ration kit provided and also now they are able to protect themselves and their families from the Covid 19 pandemic by using the hygiene kit being provided by the RSKS India. These Rajasthani Folk Artists are able to find employment without having any tension of food. They are now able to overcome the destructive wave of obstacles caused due to coronavirus.
Madhav Story from Ground....
My Name is Madhav (Name Changed), I am 36 year old and I sing songs and play sarangi for earning for my daily livelihood. Lockdown was a complete disaster for me as my daily earnings came to an end and I was unable to find any sort of employment. I was sitting unemployed at home with my wife and 3 children whose total responsibility is on me.
My savings got vanished in a week and after that we were unable to eat two times food and the situation was getting worse day by day. One day I heard some people coming at our place and helping our community, these people were from RSKS India. It was truly an amazing job they were doing as people like me really needed support.
These people from RSKS India provided me 20Kg Dry ration and along with this they also provided me hygiene kit which is being used by all of my family members and they also gave awareness against corona virus. I thank donors from bottom of my heart as only because of them, today me and my family can eat two times meal and also protect ourselves from this Corona pandemic.

Dear Friend Namaste,
Hope you & your family Safe & Healthy!!
There are so many remote villages which are far away from the city. People living in these villages are still living like the old days. They have radios in which they listen news and only some of them have featured mobile phones. Corona Pandemic news was not reached to these places and this was the reason why so many people from villages were getting Covid-19 positive. These people are not aware and that is why they are not following social distancing, use of masks or regular handwash.
RSKS India organized awareness program in 90 different slums and villages which are far away from the city which included 1.5 hours of workshops, videoshows, wall paintings etc. People were taught with the help of flipcharts on which their local language was written so that they can understand it easily. This awareness program was done with more than 5500 people so that everyone can be safe from the corona pandemic. In these workshops, videoshows, wall paintings etc. the use of masks, proper handwash techniques, social distancing, if sick then go to a doctor etc. things were told.
The poor and marginalized people living in these slums, villages realized the threat and effect of the coronavirus and started following social distancing, use of masks, regular handwash practices and stepped out of their house only when it was necessary. Now these people are also not afraid of going to a hospital.
Beneficiary's View about Project !!
My name is Lakka (Name Changed) and I am 72 Years old. I live in Badi Village which is far away from the city. I have no family and I spend my most of the time sitting below the banyan tree. I have no T.V. at my house and also i dont have any mobile phone, what i have is a radio which i turn on only sometimes. One day 4 people came to our village and said that they are from RSKS India and have comed to our village to tell us something very important.
I also sat there and heard all of what they said about following social distancing, using masks, regular handwash as corona pandemic is killing so many people. They are doing a great job I must say as they are saving lives by creating awareness. Before them no one was wearing masks or following social distancing but today I myself started wearing Gamcha on my face as everyone is wearing something on their face. Now I remain inside my house and only go out when it is too necessary. I would like to thank RSKS India, an organization which is not keeping anyone behind.

Dear Patrons !
In our city, some people live like this that no one wants to look at them, they live in slums or in huts. With daily wages they earn their livelihood. These people had to face a lot of problems with the financial crisis when the lockdown was imposed due to covid-19. The problem of eating started coming, in such a situation, these people were sitting with their eyes on the donors, when someone gave food, they were able to eat otherwise they have to stay hungry.
The RSKS Organization extended a helping hand to such people by marking 5 slum areas of the city and distributed 500 Vegetable Packets by which these people were able to revive their kitchen. 5 Kg Vegetable were given to each person. This small relief material gave a rush of joy on the face of these poor people. RSKS India is doing continuous work with slum area people and have also distributed masks and sanitizers to them. With the regular use of these hygiene material distributed, these people remain healthy and were able to escape the havoc and were also able to keep their family safe.
A 65-year-old man Mrs. Mohini (Name Changed) living in a slum told that there was silence in these slums at the time of lockdown, due to being away from the city, no goods were available to them and all people were facing the problem. Time to time Relief program by RSKS India were very helpful. Whenever the representatives of the Organization used to come here, there is a wave of happiness among the elders and women, because the help provided by them gives a lot of support.

Dear Friend
RSKS India wishes you a Happy Raksha Bandhan!!
Covid-19 engulfed the whole world, during this time a situation of complete lockdown was created. People have to sit at home unemployed due to lockdown. In such a situation, people started facing financial problems. In these people, the disabled people faced many problems. People with disabilities are already helpless due to physical disability and in the time of lockdown they started facing many more problems.
In such a situation the RSKS Organization started the relief program at the time of lockdown which is still going on continuously. RSKS India identified the around 450 rural disabled people and helped them with ration and hygiene kits. In this ration/grocery there were 20kg flour, rice, pulses, spices, salt, soap, oil etc. and hygiene kit containing handkerchiefs, masks, and sanitizers etc.
Ration/Grocery kits were delivered by the Organization to 450 handicapped people. At the time of lockdown due to financial shortage there was no food to eat, the stove could not run in the house but now they have got ration and it will protect their food security for 3 weeks, so a wave of happiness was on the face of all the disabled people.
An Beneficiary Story from Ground.....
Norati (Name Changed), who lives in Ramgarh village lives with her husband. She and her husband are both handicapped by both legs. The husband works at the shop while on crutch but from the time of lockdown, he is sitting unemployed in the house after which financial problems started coming. Norati worked for some time, seeking help from nearby people, but after a while, help stopped. Norati was completely disappointed. So also a time came when there was no food in Norati's house and she had to sleep hungry.
When Norati came to know that she would get ration under the Covid-19 relief program being run by the RSKS India, she got very happy. When the RSKS representative gave Norati a ration kit, Norati became emotional and said that “Even today humanity is alive and God has sent you to help me” after which Norati blessed the representative of RSKS Organization and thanked RSKS Organization.
20 kg dry ration of ration received by the Organization had flour, lentils, salt, rice, oil, soap, spices, etc. so that Norati Devi's three weeks of food security could be ensured. From the ration received, Norati’s two time meal was ensured. Norati thanks RSKS Organization and Donors from bottom of her heart.
We would love to hear your feedback, comments & Suggestion on our program. Please reach out to us at rsksindiaorg@gmail.com
