My Passion is Who I Am

By Sandra M. | Trainee, Hot Sun Foundation

Sandra, Hot Sun Foundation trainee
Sandra, Hot Sun Foundation trainee

Greetings! My name is Sandra. I am 21 years old.

I have a passion for cinematography and film making. My passion is who I am, and this mindset has been crucial to my own personal happiness.

Loving film making is one thing, but another thing is entirely living it. I am training in cinematography and production with Hot Sun Foundation.

I am a special effects make up artist. I trained myself using you tube videos and online tutorials. I am specializing in it although it has been hard not having access to the make up itself. But am still trying my best and working with what I have.

What do you hope to do in filmmaking?

I want to be a film maker and have a production company here in Kenya. God willing I want to open a film training institute like Hot Sun Foundation where people with an interest in becoming film makers can train the best way possible.

I appreciate talent. I would like to sponsor young stars, (orphans) with art related talents and provide them with opportunities to explore them.

Hot Sun Foundation gives me a platform to explore my dream. I also intend to use the same platform to create more opportunities for others.

Why is Hot Sun Foundation's work important?

Hot Sun Foundation helps and trains young filmmakers and gives them an opportunity to work with professionals and good equipment.

It is making a contribution to the society by supporting the creative development of films and providing opportunities for young filmmakers to have training and to network.

Why should people donate to Hot Sun Foundation?

Hot Sun Foundation nurtures talents and trains interested young film makers to be professional film makers, which enables them to have various job opportunities and makes them able to earn a living, which changes their lives.
