ROSE
I work with the Maasai Mbili artists collective in Kibera (a slum in Nairobi). We make art out of our lives. Hot Sun Foundation introduced me to a creative way to make films.
Here at Maasai Mbili we do a lot of art and paintings. We learnt from a workshop with Hot Sun Foundation that we could make animations using our paintings.
I also learnt a lot about film festivals and categories which we could enter our films in.
I know so many professional filmmakers here in Kibera who trained in Hot Sun Foundation. Every filmmaker I know from Kibera learned at Hot Sun Foundation.
Hot Sun Foundation offers the best opportunity for aspiring film makers in Nairobi to train how to make films.
