Help Provide Education to 300 Children in Need

HELP EDUCATE 300 CHILDREN IN NEED!

The project is helping educate over 500 orphans and vulnerable children allowing them to remain in school and improve on their life. This will reduce the burden on guardians who have taken up the responsibilities of taking care of orphans left behind by their relatives and this will also reduce poverty and crime in the community which is on increase as a result of children being found on the street.

The fundraising target for this project is $20,000.00 out of which we have raised $1,515.14

This project is helping provide both academic and vocational education to over 300 children in need at Fortune School of Excellence formerly known as Fortune Community School in Solwezi District of Zambia.

However, due to coronavirus that has affected many countries around the World, the Zambian Schools remain closed except for examination classess who are attending lessons. Therefore, in order for us to repond to this challenge, our organization has partnered with Village Book Builders to provide online mentorship program starting on 7th Septmeber 2020. CCCYD has contributed 8 computers which will be used for this program.

EDUCATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT WHICH EVERY CHILD DESERVES!

Education, in particular, can leverage significant improvements in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children. Besides conferring knowledge and life skills, schooling can contribute to a child's psychosocial development and provide a safe, structured environment in turbulent times.

Millions of children in many vulnerable households are not learning because of poverty, discrimination, the quality of the education on offer, or because they are too hungry to learn. These children leave school before they acquire the basic skills and knowledge needed to thrive within society.

Education transforms children’s lives by helping them overcome poverty. This leads to better health and increased income opportunities. Without it, many children remain trapped in a life of poverty and hardship.

HELP EDUCATE 300 CHILDREN IN NEED project has helped over 441 orphans and vulnerable children who abandoned school due to poverty to go back to school and many are now able to read and write.   This project has helped reduce the burden on vulnerable guardians who have taken up the responsibilities of taking care of orphans left behind by their relatives who have died as a result of HIV and AIDS.  

The fundraising target for this project is $20,000.00 out of which we have raised $1,540.14
