Rising Stars scholarship project transforms the lives of vulnerable girls in Zambia by taking them beyond the classroom into careers and economic independence. Through scholarships, mentorship, life and digital skills, entrepreneurship and career pathways, girls are empowered to graduate, find employment or build businesses, and become leaders. Those who rise are encouraged to reach back, mentor another girl and create a powerful cycle of opportunity.
For many vulnerable girls in Zambia, finishing school does not guarantee a future. Only 29% of upper-secondary-age youth attend school, while 29% of young women aged 20-24 were married before age 18. Poverty makes college even harder to reach. Without tuition, accommodation, mentorship and basic living support, talented girls can see their dreams disappear. Rising Stars project will help turn that lost potential into education, careers and independence.
Rising Stars project will turn barriers into pathways. 200 vulnerable girls will receive scholarships, living support, mentorship and career skills to move from classroom to career. Our innovative "Rise & Lift" model goes further: graduates will be connected to jobs or entrepreneurship and encouraged to mentor the next girl. Each girl supported becomes a future professional, leader and changemaker-creating a cycle where one opportunity sparks another.
Rising Stars project will build a generation of educated, economically independent women who can transform families and communities. Over three years, 200 girls will progress toward qualifications, careers and entrepreneurship, breaking cycles of poverty and dependence. Through our "Rise & Lift" model, graduates become mentors and role models for the next generation, creating a ripple effect where today's scholarship recipient becomes tomorrow's professional, leader and opportunity-maker.
