By Ashok Dandpat | Project Leader

Dear Friends,
Hope you are enjoying your summer time and we in SANTI are enjoying summer too. We are going through fun filled events at Training School.
- We are thrilled to start a new batch of summer training classes with 16 students. Our students are Amrita, Asha, Gouri, Namanti, Nilima, Pooja, Pramila, Pramodini, Pratima, Prattima, Rilen, Sagita, Sanju, Santari, Suchita and Susmita. They are learning to make Indian ladies dresses.
- Record Keeping training was provided by SANTI to Women Self Help Group, members of Barupara Ward No.13 of Rajgangpur. This will help the WSHG to keep daily records of their tasks and duties in a reportable structure that is needed by local government. SANTI’s help in this provided a big relief to them to understand the need and transparency required in reporting methods.
We wish them a great success of learning this important skill and in future they will be able to earn money as many of them are already doing it.
Your contribution helped us to train and bring direct results to them.
Thank you for your support.

Dear Friends,
We are having a great time at SANTI and excited to share our experience in past quarter.
- We have sold soft toys and women dresses in Rajgangpur city wide festival named Rajgangpur Mahotsav. All products are hand made by students from our child labor vocational training program. This training helps them to be self-sustained and earn for their livelihood. Together we earned INR 8,500 and this inspires our students.
- We have started a new batch of students in our sewing course. All these students are energized by the response from Rajgangpur festival.
- Santi received the block level Youth Award from Govt. of India through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This award was due to our meaningful and result oriented involvement with youth of rural Rajgangpur area. We are proud to be a part of this award and received INR 8,000 in addition to a certificate.
Your help and support give us the energy to help these children. Please lend your hand to continually support us.
Thank You,

By Ashok Dandpat | Project Lead

Dear Friends
We from children of SANTI wishes you will have a great year ahead with prosperity and happiness.
Here are our quarterly updates
- We have been very successful with our sewing and alteration classes. Teenage girls as well as women love our classes and many of them are successful in setting up their own source of income through sewing. We have prepared with logistics in past quarter to revamp our training program with a fresh look and start in January.
- We had also provided nursing/health assistant training in collaboration with other educational organization. We were partly funded by other organization to run those classes. We have initiated our discussion with other organization to again run this program in 2019.
Thank you for your continued support, and wish you a great new year.
Best wishes,
