Why a child labor school is required?
There is a village named Barupada, nearby town Rajgangpur, Odisha, India. The closest Government funded primary school is about 5 km or 3 mile from this village area. The children from this village are facing difficulties to reach this school, only way is by walking. Not inspiring when basic necessities are not met.
What these children are currently doing?
SANTI conducted a survey 2012 December in ward No.13, named Barupara. Many families in this area belong to official Below Poverty Line. Per family, the monthly income ranges from $ 15 - $30 (INR 750 - INR 1500). Many parents cannot support their children and must send children to work. Hence, children from Barupada are working in nearby restaurants, flee market, Garage, Tobacco factory, Brick making factory, Crushers, Mines, Coal brick factory etc. Also many of them are orphan and kind of bonded labor everyday work and survive.
What SANTI can do?
All these children between 6 to 14 years old have right to education only a slogan but no real effort. To resolve this situation, SANTI has identified about 50 children and plans to open a school for 25 children and provide primary education from grade 1 to 5, further more provide vocational training. After twenty five children are successfully trained this year, SANTI will consider rest twenty five children for future training.
Training to be provided: -
1. Sewing, stitching
2. Wool knitting - sweater, gloves
3. Paper Work- envelope making, Decoration with paper
4. Cycle repairing
5. Food item making - Badi, Pampad, Pickle, Biscuit, Mixture, snacks

7. Cow farming
8. Goat Farming
9. Pig Farming

With a formal and this type of vocational training, children will be in a better shape for their survival. A two edged goal dreamt by SANTI.
