BIRD’s Dekhte Dekhte Padhega India (DDPI) (India will read while watching) campaign invites people from all walks of life to read stories aloud. The campaign is also collecting raw, on-the-ground videos that show real moments—like mothers reading to their children or children reading to elders. These impact videos aim to promote reading at the grassroots level and encourage wider participation from communities.
STARDOST is an innovative project by the Billion Readers In initiative (BIRD), aimed at fostering love for reading among children through Same Language Subtitles (SLS). StarDost seeks to inspire curiosity and encourage young readers to explore regional literature. As a StarDost storyteller, you will be creating an engaging, fun, and relatable reading experience that children can enjoy from the comfort of their homes or schools.
TAREGT AUDIENCE: Children aged 3-14 and their parents, teachers and guardians, particularly those who may not have the time or resources to read to their children regularly.
