Build a School Gym and Community Hall in Hungary

Dear Supporters,

The first half of 2023 went quite well. In addition to our own, we were also able to secure a place for the neighboring school, whose gymnasium was closed due to high energy prices. With such cooperations the maintenance of the gym was easier as well.

The first semester was also successful in terms of events, we held two big events of our school at the gym. Here, the shortcomings of our event venue equipment were still a bit noticeable, but we are making good progress.

In two weeks, the summer vacation starts at the school and at the sports association, life will be a little quieter in the gym. Nevertheless we are awaiting some summer camps.

We thank all our supporters for contributing to our operation and our developments.

Kedves Támogatóink!

2023 elso fele egész jól sikerült. A sajátunk mellett helyet tudtunk biztosítani a szomszéd iskolának is, akiknek a tornatermét bezárták a magas energiaárak miatt. Így összefogva a fenntartás is könnyebb volt.

A rendezvények terén is sikeres volt az elso félév, iskolánk két nagy ünnepét is itt tartottuk. Itt azért még kicsit érezhetoek voltak a rendezvény helyszín felszerelés hiányosságai, de szépen fejlodünk.

Két hét múlva kezdodik a nyári szünet az iskolában és a sportegyesületben is, kicsit csendesebb lesz az élet a csarnokban. Néhány nyári tábort azért idevárunk.

Köszönjük minden támogatónknak, hogy hozzájárulnak a muködésünkhöz a fejlesztéseinkhez.

Dear Supporters!

We have started the year 2023. This year, the biggest challenge is expected to be the significantly increased energy costs. From 2022 to 2023, the price of both electricity and gas increased more than fivefold.

Fortunately, our gym building has good energy efficiency indicators, and we can operate it economically.

Despite all this, we had to significantly raise the contribution fees and look for additional sources of support. At the moment, it seems that this will be largely successful and therefore we can finance the operation of the building, we do not have to close it for the winter months.

PS: Good news, that this year not only children play sports in the gym, but parents' sports evenings have also started.

Kedves Támogatóink!

Elkezdtük a 2023-as évet. Idén várhatóan a legnagyobb kihívást a jelentosen megemelkedett energiaköltségek fogják jelenteni. 2022-rol 2023-ra több, mint ötszörös lett mind az áram, mind a gáz ára.

Szerencsére a tornacsarnok épületünk jó energetikai mutatókkal rendelkezik, takarékosan tudjuk üzemeltetni.

Mindennek ellenére, jelentosen meg kellett emelnünk a hozzájárulási díjakat és plusz támogatási források után nézni. Jelenleg úgy tunik, hogy ez nagyrészt sikerülni fog és ezért finanszírozni tudjuk az épület muködését, nem kell bezárnunk a téli hónapokra.

PS: Jó hír viszont, hogy idén már nem csak gyerekek sportolnak a csarnokban, hanem a szülok is játszanak esténként.

Dear Supporteers!

The new school year and the new basketball season have started as well - the Fészek Csarnok has been repopulated after the sultry summer break.

It is gratifying that all the classes of the school and all the teams of our sports association were able to move into the hall.

However, we are facing a very difficult season since energy prices skyrocketed during the summer. We don't see how yet, but we hope that we will be able to raise funds to finance the winter period and keep the hall open throughout the season.

Kedves Támogatóink!

Elkezdodött az új tanév és az új kosárlabda szezon is - a fülledt nyári szünet után újból benépesült a Fészek Csarnok.

Örvendetes, hogy az iskola összes osztálya és a sportegyesületünk összes csapata beköltözhetett a csarnokba.

Viszont igen nehéz évad felé nézünk, az energiaárak az egekbe szálltak a nyár folyamán. Még nem látjuk hogyan, de reméljük, hogy sikerül forrást gyujtenünk a téli idoszak finanszírozására és nyitva tudjuk tartani a csarnokot egész évadban.

Dear Supporteers!

Our gym has been operating since September 2021 with almost full capacity. School classes in the morning, basketball in the afternoon and some other sports in the evening take almost all capacity.

Even events take place and thanks to the new sound damping system the acoustics has become quite good.

As part of the opening ceremony, we have held a classic piano concert in March with about two hundred beople listening to the fantastic music.

Though we had an unsuccesful try at obtaining events chairs theough a grant, we still think that sooner or later we will become well equipped for such great events as well.

Kedves Támogatóink!

Tornacsarnokunk 2021 szeptembere óta muködik szinte teljes kapacitással. A délelotti iskolai órák, a délutáni kosárlabda és néhány más sport este szinte minden kapacitást lefoglalnak.

Még rendezvények is zajlanak, és az új hangcsillapító rendszernek köszönhetoen az akusztika egészen jó lett.

A megnyitó keretében márciusban klasszikus zongorakoncertet tartottunk, melyen mintegy kétszázan hallgatták a fantasztikus zenét.

Bár sikertelenül próbálkoztunk székek beszerzésével egy pályázat keretében, mégis úgy gondoljuk, hogy elobb-utóbb ilyen nagy rendezvényekre is fel leszünk készülve.

Dear Supporters,

Our gym is operating since September.

PE classes for our school are held during the day, basketball practices for our teams take place during the afternoons and amateur teams rent the hall in the evenings. On weekends there are sport tournaments and trainings. Everything works out fine.

We also intend to use the gym as an event hall, there have already been a few successful events so far.

However, the gym is not yet equipped particularly for events very well so far.

We have already made some steps towards having a sound system and proper hall acoustics, and we have a good detachable sports parquet protective cover. But we are still in need of lighting technology, chairs, drapery and many other things.

In the next period we will be working on developing these so that our gym becomes a good community hall as well.
