Out of the 16 children who were elected to be supported with donations received through Global Giving, it is worthy to highlight the treatment received by three of them: Juan David Moreno, a boy who lives 6-hour far from Bogota, has continued to come on monthly basis to receive his speech therapy, psychology and dentistry treatment, obtaining important advances in his speech, teeth health and his school performance. Laura Gabriela Tenjo has continued to receive speech therapy and dentistry treatment and has atended to psychological sessions for handling of some family conflicts which are affecting her development and Juan Sebastián Ramírez, who recently celebrated his first birthday, is initiating the second stage of his integral treatment, securing his speech and social emotional development with Fisulab’s professional team support.
Out of the remaining 13 children, Isabela Mantilla had a very significant oral problem, which was solved with the pediatric dentistry treatment received; the remaining 12 children have continued the proper follow-up to reinitiate during 2014. With the resources received during this period (September – November 2013), complete integral treatment was guaranteed to three children out of the 16 children who initiated with Global Giving support. If we had included the whole 16 children, we could have only been able to guarantee treatment for two week to each, this would mean till mid-September; that´s why we decided to privilege the more needed ones.
Enclosed you will find some pictures of activities carried out in December, 2013.
