With your contributions you can contribute to make the dreams of many children happy at Christmas.

Throughout the year we provide care to more than 50 children with violated rights who are exposed to situations of high psychosocial risk such as: lack of adult caregiver or abandoned children, child labor, demotivation school, exposure to situations of intrafamily abuse or sexual abuse , risk of staying on the street, among others.

Activities are carried out such as:

- Actions to promote health and prevent diseases, promotion of sexual and reproductive health, prevention of alcohol and psychoactive substances.
- Complete nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Provision of costumes and supplies for the school.
- Pedagogical support and complete school support.
- Monitoring and individual work to each child at a psychosocial level according to their particular needs.
- Strengthening life skills: emphasizing the development of coping skills, decision making, critical thinking and autonomy to prevent recidivism in self-destructive behaviors
- Activities of stimulation and development of abilities, skills and vocational, sports and artistic interests of each child or adolescent
- Opportunities for cultural, sports and recreational development for the construction of meaning and consolidation of their life projects
- Advice to the family or support network link to give continuity to all these processes from home.

"I am Pablo, I am 12 years old, and I have 2 small brothers of 11 years and 10 years, since 4 months ago we live in the internship of Superarse, for our mother and stepfather, they have no work and can not take care of us, we have suffered a lot with they. But since we are in Superarse, we live very differently. Last month in our school vacations, we participated in the "Friendly Families of Sopetran" program together with other children who live in the internship, we traveled to Sopetran, a small town that is 2 hours from Medellin, there several volunteer families received us and each child stays with a family for 15 days, we were together for being brothers, with the Rengifo Family we share a lot, they have a 12-year-old son and he became our friend, and cousin and uncles live very close to them, all the time they are together, they made a party for us, we celebrated the father's day, we saw the soccer world cup games together, we had many family experiences that in our house we could not live. They made us feel as if we were really their children and they gave us a lot of love and peace. We would like to be able to return in the next vacations".

Like this story, every child who lives with us in the boarding school is happy for a few days, living with a family that welcomes him with love. We have many children who have no family because they were abandoned or are orphans, and others like these 3 brothers who were mistreated in their families of origin. To develop this program, we need money. Support us with contributions to make children's dreams come true!!!

In this special month, our children pay homage to their mothers, who despite facing difficult life situations, always fight for them.

In Corporación SUPERARSE, we work and guarantee the rights of children, at the same time we work educating their families so that they also guarantee those rights. Many of the mothers attend these trainings, always looking for the best for their children, although for many it is not easy, since sometimes they are also "victims" and their rights are violated, due to the difficult family or socioeconomic situation in the who live.

All mothers have something special, although due to their difficulties they do not participate in the labor market and do not always have their own income, they live in conditions of poverty at family level and often have less power to decide on the destination of family resources. . This puts them in a disadvantaged position and if they do not have the support of a partner, they become heads of family and face alone the family's financial needs, in many cases without preparation, without study and without experience to obtain a job. of quality and well paid.

Most of the children who attend the Corporación Sobre Survive experience this type of family, however, for them there is no better hug and a more magical formula than that of their mothers or grandmothers and aunts, who cure everything, in times of illness and sadness.

That is why in this month we recognize those efforts, sometimes less evident than at other times, but convinced that the hand of the Corporation OVERCOMING can help them so that their children and themselves can move forward.

In the month of April and as part of the strengthening of the mothers and grandmothers of the children, we began to invite them to an easy cooking class, teaching them the importance of varying the food and taking advantage of the products of the harvest.

We invite you this month to dedicate these contributions to those mothers and grandmothers who, although in unfavorable conditions, never stop fighting for their children!!!

My Christmas story is called "You live better in family"

My name is Jhony (not real name), I am 14 years old and I am in the 6th grade, my family is very poor and for three years I have lived in the Corporación Superarse, I could not share with family the Christmas and New Year period .

This time my Christmas was wonderful, because I lived it with my loved ones, we had a lot of fun, we played and had fun, My mom made us fritters and custard (typical Colombian food for Christmas), she is the best cook in the world, everything who prepared us tasted like happiness.

We are a family with many economic needs, but we have a lot of love and I am excited because my mom has changed a lot, now she is more loving and we feel better together, she is doing everything possible so that I can return to live in my house, all thanks to the Corporation Superarse.

I hope that with your contributions, not only me, but many other children like me, we can return with our families.

The majority of the children who live in the boarding school of the  Corporation Superarse, have experienced traumatic situations due to the socioeconomic conditions of their parents and their families, however during the time they spend with us, we work together with these families so that the Children can return to their homes, with their loved ones, that is the most important thing for them, despite poverty.

As a tribute of gratitude, the children of La Corporación celebrated the day of gratitude where they presented their talents to the people who joined during 2017, contributing their time or money for the welfare of the children.

In the end of the year, we went camping. In the recreational center "Los Farallones", it was the opportunity for children and adolescents to enjoy a pedagogical, playful and recreational experience, where they developed and fulfilled specific objectives of their processes .

Children and adolescents enjoyed the holiday experience at the end of the year, in the municipality of Sopetran - Antioquia, where they had the opportunity to share and learn from families in the city that receive them, so they can experience another family model, integrating and receiving Affection and many positive experiences for your future.

For the Christmas celebrations and gifts that we hope to deliver to these 43 children, WE NEED YOU TO BE OUR PARTNERS, to contribute to continue fulfilling their dreams.

We want to thank everyone who this year linked with our cause, since they made many of our dreams possible.

Thanks to the contributions of many people, this year has been different for many children.

They have been able to have education, health, recreation, healthy eating and most importantly a loving home, where they share with 43 children in similar situations of abuse or mistreatment.

During the year, We were could celebrate with them,  birthdays,  friendship, academic achievement, we accompany and guide them in their studies, they have support and individual and family psychological follow-up, with the aim of being able to live again with their parents or other close relatives who want to welcome them. Some began or completed successful adoption processes; a few were able to return to live with their families as they completed a social, psychological and many commitments to provide a decent life.

PROXIMATE EVENTS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH YOUR SUPPORT:

In these dates we are happy, because La Corporacion Superarse, plans many events to make this time an unforgettable experience for these children, some have no family, others can not live with their family due to problems of abuse, in the end there are many causes that they would prevent them from enjoying, but in “Superarse” we take care that they live the opposite, for this end of the year, we have scheduled these activities:

DECEMBER 1 to 9 - Novenas the child Jesus, every day we make a special prayer.

DECEMBER 12 to JANUARY 12 - Travel to Sopetran, where children have the chance to live unforgettable days with families of the town, who welcome them in their homes.

HISTORY OF A CHILD "A BLUE ILLUSION"

My name is Juan del Mar (not real name), I am 10 years old, I remember that when I was little I lived with two little brothers and my grandparents, I played a lot with my friends, but I was very disobedient, one day I left the house and I got lost , I spent many days living in the street, my grandparents looked for me a lot but they did not find me, I was taken to a "Substitute Home" so they would take care of me, but I did not love them and I behaved very badly. My two little brothers are called Estiven and Estefanía and they are also in "Substitute Homes" because my grandparents can not care for them now.
My dream is to have a family again and wake up together, when I grow up I want to study music and be a famous singer.
Now I am in Corporacion Superarse and although they take care of me and give me everything, it hurts me not to be in family, it is the place where I want to be. I will be happy in a "country called family" where love never ends.
