From Protection to Possibility

By Valentina Aguilar Ramirez | Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Because of your generosity, children at Superarse have found something every child deserves: a safe place to live, caring adults, education, and the chance to dream again.

Thank you for walking alongside us over the years.

Today, we'd like to share something very special with you.

As Superarse enters a new chapter, we are strengthening our commitment to the children and young people we serve. While providing protection and restoring their rights will always be at the heart of our work, we believe our responsibility goes even further.

Our mission is no longer only to help children heal from their past.

Our mission is to help them build their future.

Today, 50 children and teenagers call Superarse home. Thirty-one of them are legally eligible for adoption, yet because of their age, many are unlikely to grow up in a permanent family.

For them, Superarse becomes much more than a children's home.

We become the adults who encourage them, guide them, believe in them, and help them discover that their future can be different from their past.

Every day, we are expanding opportunities that prepare our children for adult life.

This means helping children who are behind in school catch up academically, creating new partnerships for career exploration and vocational guidance, preparing young people for job interviews and employment opportunities, and encouraging entrepreneurship so they can one day create opportunities for themselves and for others.

But our commitment doesn't end when a child leaves Superarse.

We are also strengthening our support for our graduates, helping them continue their education, connect with employment opportunities, and navigate the challenges of independent adulthood.

Because leaving our home should never mean walking alone.

Everything we do has one purpose:

To help every child break the cycle of poverty and build a life filled with opportunity, dignity, and hope.

None of this would be possible without you.

Your generosity has helped thousands of children feel safe.

Now, we invite you to help them go even further.

Together, we can prepare the next generation of professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, technicians, and leaders who will transform not only their own lives, but also the future of their own families and communities.

Thank you for believing that every child deserves more than protection.

Thank you for believing they deserve a future.

With gratitude,

Valentina Aguilar Ramírez
