In SUPERARSE the current bathrooms and showers for children's use, they are in poor condition, damaged, or with deficient accessories, requiring continuous repairs and generating excessive water costs, for this reason it is necessary to modernize and redistribute spaces, optimizing natural resources and improving the quality of life of children, seeking to prevent the proliferation of bacteria, guaranteeing dignified and appropriate spaces for children, who often do not have adequate services in their homes.
In this way, we will be able to incorporate personal hygiene routines in the children cared for in a fun and effective way, preventing diseases that may occur during childhood due to not instilling proper personal hygiene standards.
With your continued support, we can be one step closer to the goals of our project to remodel the bathrooms and showers used by the children!
¡ Your donation donations will support our efforts to have comfortable, clean and safe spaces for our children !
Since I was born I was abandoned, I have grown up in orphanages, I´m Josh and I am 11 years old and I live in the boarding home for children like me, from SUPERARSE.
In my childhood I never had a family, although I have always dreamed of it, this dream is increasingly far from coming true.
But with the program "FRIENDLY HOST FAMILY OF SUPERARSE", I have been able to get to know up close what it is to have a family, even if it is only for a few days a year, in my "host family" they have given me their love, they opened their doors to me. doors of their house and they treat me as if I were really part of their family, at Christmas they gave me gifts and I was able to enjoy a very special New Year's Eve party.
This experience has meant a lot to me, feeling what it can be to have a family was wonderful, many other children like me experience the same, because we don't have a biological family.
Your contributions will help us to continue strengthening this program, in which more than 30 voluntary families participate, receiving children for 3 weeks from our boarding home who do not have a family. This is an experience of love, where children have the possibility of spending Christmas and New Year's Eve with a family that welcomes them with a lot of love so that they don't spend this time alone.
YOUR SUPPORT will allow more orphaned children to have a "host family". We use the resources for the transport of the children, to guarantee food with a contribution to the family, for medicines and cleaning products for the children and in general for everything they need while they live in their host family.
EVERY YEAR WE NEED around US$10,000 for the development of this program.
WE COUNT ON YOUR HELP!

Each child and young person represents the hope to build peace in our country, teaching, good treatment, valuing their potential, recognizing their difficulties to overcome them, are part of their development and of that social change that they so badly need.
With pedagogical strategies we seek permanent motivation in our children. Education is a process: beyond teaching science and technology, it is the responsibility of generating self-confidence so that they can find their abilities and talents and can grow as people.
In Colombia we are starting a new school year, our beneficiary children need notebooks and school supplies for their study. We are sure that with your help we will achieve that SOCIAL CHANGE that is achieved through EDUCATION.

"Throughout my childhood I felt alone and suffered abuse, but in SUPERASE I found love from home and the inspiration to change my life. This is my story."
My story, although full of pain in childhood, was able to be transformed for the better thanks to the CORPORACION SUPERARSE , who through its projects and programs, such as Plan Padrino (donation recurrent) has made it possible for many young people like me to study, have a family or support network, and fulfill our dreams.
I am Andrés, I was born in Medellín in 1995 in a dysfunctional family, in an environment of prostitution and drugs. At 2 years old I was declared adoptable. Between the ages of 4 and 14 I went through several temporary homes, in one, the foster mother was very strict, there I learned the prohibitions for everything. Although I was an obedient, responsible and kind child, the treatment they gave me was so harsh that I became very rebellious. I lived in dangerous and unsafe neighborhoods, sometimes I had to hide under the bed and cover my ears because of the screams and the bullets in the street.
At the age of 14, I met a professor from the CORPORACION SUPERARSE who managed to get me transferred to the Corporation's boarding school. It was the best stage, the teachers were kind, the treatment was humane and fair, I lived enriching and happy experiences, I could learn, watch movies, read books and play, I could be a child. I fondly remember that the ladies in the kitchen treated me with love and respect.
One day, talking to a teacher, I told her the reason for my rebellious behavior and she told me: "Andrés, your future does not depend on your surrogate mother or on an institution (ICBF), it only depends on you"
From this, I decided to change, I became kind and respectful. I liked to play, build houses or rooms with stones, from there I began to feel a passion for design. In SUPERARSE I met Hamilton, a young man who quickly became my best friend, forming a connection of almost brothers. But later he was adopted by a family in the US.
At the age of 17, thanks to SUPERASE, I began to study Architectural Drafting, and with the support of a sponsor, they got me everything I needed to travel to Minnesota for a week, to visit my friend Hamilton and his family. At the age of 19, with the support of this family, I return to the US to study English for a year. They go through the process to adopt me, but since I was already of legal age, they don't get it. “You will always be our son,” were the words of the woman I now call MOM, because even though he couldn't legally adopt me, he always watches over my well-being.
A few years ago I returned to Colombia and now I study Space Design and Management at the private University of Medellín, fully paid by my parents from the US.
