We could not have delivered our projects without your support, which has given the greatest gift of all to the people of Uganda, the gift of a better life. Looking forward to 2022
Since March 2020, schools in Uganda have been repeatedly shut down in an effort to prevent transmission of Covid19. As a result most children have missed out on nearly 2 years of education. The young pupils at Kathy's Centre have been supported with home-learning and catch-up learning sessions during the brief periods of time when these activities were allowed. However, there is light on the horizon! The government of Uganda is rolling out Covid19 vaccines across the country and they are prioritising school teachers in teh hopes that all schools will be able to reopen in 2022. The teachers at Kathy's Kindergarten have all received their first vaccine doses! We plan to reopen Kathy's Kindergarten in January 2022 and we simply can't wait to welcome our young students back into the classroom for some play-based learning and fun.
Thank you for supporting this life changing work!
