Kathy's Kindergarten gives vulnerable children, aged 3-6, vital early years education, daily nutrition & health checks. Disadvantaged, at-risk children receive subsidised education and hope of a brighter future.
In rural Uganda, 20% of people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1 a day, resulting in a lack of education & youth opportunity. Children have less than 6 years total schooling, causing inequality, ill-health & lack of options, allowing poverty to persist. There is a 60% non-attendance rate for girls due to gender bias & teenage marriage/pregnancy. Education is essential to break the poverty cycle & the first 5 years of a child's life are the most critical to their development.
Kathy's Kindergarten gives young children the best possible start in life through a unique & first-class early education. Children develop a love of learning, go on to thrive at primary school & are more likely to go into secondary education. Without this project these vulnerable children would receive no education during these formative years. Kathy's Kindergarten develops bright minds for a brighter future, & therefore stands to deliver lasting benefits to an impoverished community.

An increase in the average years total schooling, improves children's economic prospects & develops a more stable & sustainable future for their communities.
