Valentines Day Joy in Port au Prince

By Emma Taylor | Head of Media and Marketing at IDV

You can show them some Valentines Day love!
You can show them some Valentines Day love!

2014 is off to a fantastic start at HTDC. We’re delighted to announce that the orphanage’s business selling chickens has been fully funded!

The chicken coop is built, and soon it will be full of 200 chickens. The profit from egg sales will soon begin reducing the orphanage’s reliance on donors like you, but until then the kids still rely on you to ensure they have food, school, healthcare, a place to live and enriching activities.

This Valentines day, we’re hoping that you’ll show HTDC some love by giving on February 12th. Why February 12th and not 14th? Because on February 12th, GlobalGiving will match your donation by 30%!

That means that if you give just $10, GlobalGiving will add $3 to your gift, and we’ll have the funding we need to hole an enriching art day and let HTDC’s kids enjoy getting messy with paint.

Please give what you can on February 12th.

Thanks so much for all you’ve given, and if you have any questions about our work please don’t hesitate to email Emma@IDVolunteers.org.
