Your monthly gift puts foor on her plate!
Your monthly gift puts foor on her plate!

As we wave goodbye to 2012 and welcome the New Year, we hope that you’ll resolve to make 2013 a year of giving. For the next 48 hours you can set up a monthly donation, receive 2012 tax benefits, and have the first month of your donation doubled by GlobalGiving!

Your monthly donation of just $5 will provide school supplies every month for one of the kids at the orphanage. Or, your donation of $21 a month will pay all education costs for one child every month.

If you can afford a little more, your monthly gift of $31.50 will put food on the plate of a child like Germina every day.

Germina’s mother died giving birth to her and she was brought to the orphanage when she was just a few days old. She was premature and ill, and we weren’t sure if she would survive. But she’s a fighter, and today she’s approaching her first birthday. Thanks to donors like you, she’s thriving, and with your support, we’ll help her grow up strong and healthy.

Whether you’re ringing in the new years with a fabulous party, or watching the ball drop from the comfort of your own couch, we hope you have a lovely evening and wish you the Happiest of New Years!

Thanks for Giving her a Merry Christmas!
Thanks for Giving her a Merry Christmas!

This Holiday Season, you've already given an extraordinary $2300. Because of your generosity, the kids you’ve supported at the HTDC orphanage are going to bed this Christmas Eve and dreaming of what Santa – whom they call “Papa Noel” – will bring them.

Florentina has asked Papa Noel for a doll's house this Christmas, and Manoucheca says she’s hoping for a nice new dress for church.

The amazing thing is that, this Christmas, each of these kids will get a gift because you chose to support them. It wasn’t always like this for the kids at HTDC. They’ve all lost parents and were homeless after the earthquake. But thanks to your generosity, that’s in the past, and their Christmas is filled with gifts, joy, and security.

You may not have ever seen the presents the kids will open tomorrow morning, but you made each and every gift possible.

Thanks so much for all you’ve given to the 27 children at the HTDC orphanage, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Support her and find the perfect gift!
Support her and find the perfect gift!

We can’t believe it’s already the week before Christmas. If you haven’t gotten around to all your shopping yet, you can find the perfect gift while changing the life of a child like Florentina.

Four year old Florentina parents abandoned her after the earthquake left them unable to care for her. She is one of the most out-going children at the orphanage, and given her affection for putting on shows, the directors suspect she may grow up to be an actress!

Florentina relies on you to ensure she has a safe place to live, food, and gets the education she needs. A donation of just $25 will send her to school for a full month. Please give today. When you donate to support Florentina on behalf of a loved one, they’ll receive a gorgous card. You can even select an ecard which will be ready almost instantly for those last minute gift needs. To give your gift just find the “Gift or in Honour of” button under the orange “donate” button on the project page.

If you’re ready to do a little more, why not set up a recurring gift and make 2013 a year of giving? Your recurring donation will be matched by an anonymous donor, doubling your impact and making a huge difference to Florentina. You can set up a reccuring donation by clicking on “Monthly Recurring” under the orange “donate” button on our project page.

Thanks so much, and Happy Holidays!

Wow! Since our last update on December 1st you’ve given an incredible $830. That’s enough to send three of these vulnerable kids to school for a year, and have a little left over to invest in an extra special Christmas dinner!

The kids at the orphanage are really looking forward to Christmas. After all, they know they have a safe house for another year, so they’re able to focus on being kids. Because of your generosity, they’re playing soccer and wondering what Santa is going to bring them rather than worrying about finding their next meal.

But we still have a ways to go to secure two more years of safe housing and meet the kids’ needs! If you haven’t given yet, why not make a donation right now of $27? $27 will feed all 27 children for a day.

Thanks so much for all you’ve given, and our warmest regards.

You can keep food on her plate!
You can keep food on her plate!

Thanks to your incredible generosity we've been able to secure another year of safe housing for the kids at the orphanage! This is fantastic news and means that all 27 kids will have a place to learn, play, and grow for the next 12 months.

Thanks so much to each and every one of you for making another year of safe housing possible for the kids at the HTDC orphanage. You've given these kids an incredible gift to start this Holiday Season!!

However, paying the rent has left us with only two months' running costs. Without your continued generosity, we'll run out of funding to provide food, education, and health care for all the children in the orphanage's care in February.

It costs $2,700 a month to keep the kids in school, fed, healthy, and secure. Your donation will keep Nicholson in school, put food on Florentina's plate, and keep all the kids safe and healthy.

With your help, we'll be able to secure safe housing and give these kids the great start they need to grow into tomorrow's leaders.

Thanks so much for all you've already give, and we hope you had the happiest of Thanksgivings!!
