Today, Karitas Relief Mission continues to follow the progress of the girls participating in the sewing and tailoring skills project. The training is helping vulnerable girls gain practical skills that can enable them to become more self-reliant and create opportunities for income generation in the future.
The girls are continuing to learn important tailoring skills, including how to operate sewing machines, take measurements, cut materials and make different clothing items. The practical training is also helping them develop confidence, discipline and creativity as they work toward becoming skilled in sewing.
The project remains particularly important for girls who have limited opportunities for education, employment and vocational training. By providing sewing machines and practical training, we are working to give these girls skills they can use within their communities rather than depending entirely on others for their future livelihoods.
Karitas Relief Mission is grateful to everyone who has supported this initiative. We continue to seek additional support so that more girls can access sewing machines and receive the training they need. Our hope is to see these girls become skilled, confident and economically empowered young women who can use their talents to improve their own lives and support their families.
