Dear Donors
The 156 girls identified for the sewing skills program continue to look forward to practical training that will help them develop useful skills for their future. In the community, there is growing enthusiasm among the girls as they prepare to begin and strengthen their sewing training.
The girls are being organized into groups so that they can learn in a supportive environment. The training will focus on practical skills, including understanding the sewing machine, threading and operating the machine safely, taking measurements, cutting fabric, and making simple clothing items.
The sewing machines are providing an important opportunity for the girls to move from simply learning about tailoring to gaining hands-on experience. As their confidence grows, they will be able to practice producing useful items and gradually improve their sewing abilities.
