Education a way to change the world

By Pallavi Shinde | Administrative Officer

The last quarter at Manavya was bustling with activities, with the fall of Diwali and Christmas there was a lot that the children had in their plate to enjoy. Lot of volunteers and well-wisher adored the children with love and joy during this festive seasons.

But not to mention our children’s studies were never put on back stage, before the Diwali vacation they had an examination schedule which was given the utmost priority. The children in 10th and 12th are all set to appear for the preliminary examination.

Looking at the outstanding performance of our last 10th standard batch Cipla Foundation felicitated our children namely Sushma, Ramesh and Sangram. This felicitation was done by the Director of Cipla Foundation Mr. Trirath Sapra.

Two ITI Bhare boy, Shreyas and Ramesh are fighting all the odds and pursuing the curriculum. Staying at the hostel they are utilizing the extra time they get to get involved into practical session organized.

Up gradation programs were conducted at the institute for the children which added pragmatic vision to the existing curriculum that the children are pursuing. For e.g. Baking workshop was attended by Sapna who is pursuing her Home Science degree. We have also encouraged one of our girl to attend the beauty parlor course as her inclination towards self-grooming helped us select this program for her.

In this Diwali vacation we organize a session on Management of income & expenditure we had a role-play where every children enjoy & learned things which are very important while they will go to live in society independently. Respect is the most important element of our personality. “To aware about how donation’s come towards us and what we should do to overcome the objective of that particular donation.” This is the hidden agenda behind organizing this session.

On the occasion of Diwali all children’s have enjoyed every bit of their vacation with firecrackers and sweets made in the institute. To fulfill the all development perspectives we organized various workshops on this Diwali vacation like Mehandi workshop, celebration of “Bhaubeej”, Career Guidance, Baking Veg. Cake and biscuits of Ragi, Awareness session on physical & psychological changes in growing age, discussion on importance of HB in human body, anemia and care in period of M.C., Discussion on after watching “Paperman” short film, training on fire safety etc.

To keep children’s on track of education & career we need to give them syrups of guidance by trained people that’s why we organized session on career guidance. They should be capable to know the successful career not depends only on interest area it need physical or intelligence quotient similarly. This session for only shortlisted children’s above 8th standard for guidance to our children we have Mrs. Manjusha Vaidya from super mind institute.
