We Just wished for your well being!

By Rohit Jagtap | Administrative Officer

Dear Well-wishers,

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

We are happy to communicate the latest happenings in Manavya to you. Through your support we are able to accelerate the progress of the children. We have seen that with academics it is also necessary to work on the soft skills. It is very important to understand the interest & capabilities of each child & provide necessary assistance to take them ahead. Manavya has always strived to provide necessary environment to promote development of soft skills along with physical & mental wellbeing. Good mental health allows children to think clearly, develop socially and learn new skills. Is Talent alone enough to be successful? Commitment & consistence in the work is very much needed. To be in the long run & keep growing we shall keep practicing. Practice- Practice-Practice is the only key to success.

Through interactive sessions, the interest of the children in reading English books is increasing. Our counselor Aniket narrates stories to the children & motivates them to make an attempt to read new books. Similarly, a group of volunteers from Bookwallah Organisation conduct activities for all the kind.  This help to understand the area of interest of the children.

8 of our kids namely Sandesh, Deepti, Ganesh, Kajal, Jeet, Pradnya, Prathamesh & Akshay participated in the AWIM Pune Olympics 2014. They had participated in the jet toy competition where in the kids were asked to make a balloon jet toy by using easily available & waste material. The Jet Toy Challenge is set up as a friendly competition where students (in Engineering Design Teams of 4) compete in distance, accuracy, weight carrying and timed events. SAE International hosts this yearly competition. It helps the kids to understand different laws of physics, motion, flight and electronics into age-appropriate hands on activities that reinforce classroom curriculum.

On behalf of all the children we again wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! If you wish to interact with the children on Skype, Please write us on manavya@gmail.com  & we will be delighted to arrange for a Skype call. Our children would love to interact with you.

Feel free to write us about any suggestion or compliments.

We hope for your continued support in the future.

Again, Thanking You!

Thanks with Warm Regards,

Arundhati Sardesai
