December like always has been a non favourable month in terms of employment, since it's the ending of the year and most companies do not offer new inductions during end year times. Many new companies were contacted on phone, but only few amongst those contacted consented to a meeting.
A lot many candidates were evaluated, across all disabilities. Our focus in December has been mainly towards placing people in data entry and call centres, there fore hearing and visual impaired evaluations were done.
WHAT WAS ACHIEVED THIS MONTH
- 3 hearing impaired persons were hired for data entry at Systems Ltd.
- 4 hearing impaired were hired at Artistic Milliners
WHAT ARE WE PROUD OF
We have started contacting companies’ specifically in relation to the skills available in our candidate pool.
We are also working towards having an event where companies who run call centres will be invited and offered candidates for their call centre operators.
Another category are the data entry operators, therefore we contacted specifically companies running data entry operations. Systems Ltd is one company who hired in December as well as pledged to hire in future also.
