Evaristo with a drawing of himself as a journalist

We just got the news!

YOU are helping Evaristo reach his dream of becoming a Journalist!

It must be all the books and newspapers YOU are providing or maybe it's all the confidence he has from the education YOU have given him!

Whatever it is, Evaristo can dream big because YOU are giving him the opportunity!

Evaristo and his four siblings had no one to care for them until one of the grandmothers in their village, Natasy, took them in. They weren't her family by blood but love is more important than blood. With YOUR help, Natasy is able to care for all five children and provide them with the support they need to reach their dreams.

THANK YOU for being family to YOUR children in Uganda!

Today, we need YOU to help us reach more children like Evaristo!

Global Giving will match your gift 50%!

It starts TODAY at 9:00am (EDT) and will last until 11:59pm (EDT) tonight (Or until matching funds run out!)

Please give early! Funds will go fast!

There will be a $1,000 bonus award for the project that raises the most funds and a $500 bonus award for the project that comes in second place.

AND a $1,000 bonus award for most individual donors and a $500 award for the project that comes in second place.

Matching only applies between $10 and $1,000

This is a great opportunity to see YOUR gift to your children go further!

Shirah
Shirah

Meet Shirah!

She has worked hard in school and now she is in her final year of secondary school!

Next year she will enter University so that one day she can be an Accountant.

Shirah studied hard and got good grades so that she could succeed but she could never have gotten where she is now without the love and support of people like YOU.

YOU have built the ladder for her to climb out of poverty!

We are so proud of Shirah and her classmates.

Because YOU supported them, they are already role models for the children in their community. Because of the example they will set, other HIV/AIDS Orphans will know that they too can go to university.

YOUR love spreads hope!

THANK YOU!

Tomorrow, please help us reach more children like Shirah!

Girls' Dormitory with new roof!

We don't tell you enough...YOU are amazing!

YOU have given your children the food, clean water, free healthcare, and education that they have been craving!

And what's even better?

Now you are building them a brand new secondary school!

Currently, Nyaka and Kutamba primary students must apply to secondary schools in the region to continue their education. They have to live far from home and their support systems. Nyaka provides students with free tutoring, access to internet, and a case manager to help them address problems. Their secondary schools do not provide many of these added supports. Most staff at their secondary schools do not have the understanding of their experiences to meet their unique needs.

YOUR 191 children have worked so hard to graduate from primary school. Now they can also receive a guaranteed quality secondary education. This will mean that they can stay closer to home and get the educational supports they need to be successful students!

YOU have already put a roof on the secondary school's main building. Today we are sending you a first look at the brand new roof on the Girls' dormitory!

Thanks to YOU, we are making progress to opening our doors for students at the beginning of the school year in February 2015!

Keep up the great work!

We also want to thank you for your support during this last Bonus Day!

YOU raised $3,155 for YOUR children! THANK YOU!

Didn't get the chance to give last month?

YOU have another chance!

YOU are making a difference for YOUR children.

Children like Rogers.

Rogers is a primary 6 student at Kutamba. He loves going to school so much he wants to stay forever. That's why he wants to be a teacher when he grows up.

And YOU are helping Rogers achieve his dream!

Because of YOU Rogers and the other children you support will have two nutritious meals today.

They will wear the uniforms and shoes YOU provided for them.

They will be healthy because YOU have provided vaccines and healthcare for them.

They will smile and jump and play football because YOU have given them a reason to be happy.

YOU can help all of YOUR children even more!

For every gift you make today after 12:00pm (EDT), Microsoft YouthSpark will match your donation 100%!

  • Matching starts today at 12:00pm (EDT) and will end tomorrow at 11:59 am (EST)
  • There is $200,000 for matching but the funds will go quickly. Please give as soon as you can after 12:00pm (EDT).

YOU are opening doors for your children!

Shallon is in primary 6 at Kutamba and he loves math.

He loves it SO MUCH that, when he grows up, he wants to be an accountant.

One day he wants to use his success to help other orphans like YOU have helped him.

If it hadn’t been for YOU, Shallon wouldn't have learned that he loves math and he wouldn't know that he could be an accountant when he grows up.

Shallon is just one of the 656 children who are in school because of YOU!

Each child YOU have rescued has a story just like Shallon’s.

Thank you for loving Shallon and all of YOUR children in Uganda.

YOU can help more children like Shallon this Wednesday.

Thanks to Microsoft YouthSpark, your gift will be matched 100%!

This is a rare opportunity to see your gift go twice as far!

The rules:

  • Only donations between $10 and $1,000 will be matched per donor per project/microproject until matching funds run out.
  • The Microsoft YouthSpark Bonus Day will begin June 25, 2014 at 12:00:00 PM (EDT) (noon) and will end June 26, 2014 at 11:59:59 (EDT). There are $200,000 available in matching funds from Microsoft.
