Do you remember when you first started school? Did you have butterflies in your tummy? Were you nervous to meet your teacher for the first time? Were you excited to meet new friends?
You probably thought about all of those things. But in all of your excitement, I'll bet you weren't excited about school because you knew you would get your very first pair of shoes. And I bet you didn't giggle with delight because your school uniform was the best outfit you'd ever put on. And you probably didn't want to cry from happiness because you know you won't be hungry today.
For your students, starting school is about so much more than school. It means having life-saving medical care and vaccines. It means eating two hot meals every school day. It means feeling pride for the first time in a brand new school uniform and shoes. For your students this gift you have given them tells them that they are valued. You are reminding them that someone believes they can do whatever it is they set their hearts out to do.
This year 724 students are in school because of you!
Because of your love, your students will do amazing things. They might cure cancer or end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Some may go on to be writers or artists. Others might give their lives to help other orphans like them. Whatever they decide to do, it will be because you have shown them they are valuable and worthy of a good life.
Thank you for your compassion and love!

GlobalGiving's first Bonus Day of 2016!
Wednesday, March 16th starting at 9:00am (Eastern)
Every donation will be matched!
It's a pro-rated match day, which means that every project will get a portion of the matching funds based on how much they raised. Here is the explanation for how they will distribute matching funds: (amount of funds you raise/amount of total funds raised on Bonus Day) x $75,000 = Matching funds we receive!
