CHILDREN’S REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2018
The report covers children from four groups namely; Tororo, Bugiri, RWEN, Amonikakinei.

Activities as supported
Education
All school age going children go to school from Nursery to all levels.
Performance
End of term II examination 2018 performance was promising and encouraging at all levels.
Feeding
We make sure our children feed at school. We bought food that is enough for term three to term one 2019 from funds we received from River fund in October 2018 that beans and posho standard for children’s meals. It keeps children healthy and strong and they eat porridge at break time.
Feeding at home
For the needy children, there is always a follow up for each group to see to it that they get food to feed at home by the help of our friends from River Fund who is a mother to African women and children and a friend to our donors who ensure that children go on well. We are grateful for this.
Scholastic materials
Through the funds we receive from donors, we manage to buy scholastic materials for the children that take them for a year and 2018 is covered. This eases the children’s learning. These are exercise books, pencils, pens, rulers, rubbers and sets. It covers anything that goes with learning.
Uniforms
When we receive, uniforms are provided children we support from different schools. Uniforms make children look smart.
Fees top up
The top up and fees are provided to the very needy or those who fail to complete fees. Last semester we topped up for Immaculate Mary who graduated on 26th October 2018 with good performance of second class upper and we still have one boy who joined early this year.
Health care
We have kept our children healthy and smart through the long term survival skills acquired through River fund. God bless all those in this move.
HIV/AIDS
We make sure children on drugs go for drugs on their clinic days and members make sure children take the medicine in time accordingly.
Child headed families
Each group makes sure these groups get food to cover them. Last month (October) we bought food for them that may take them to around March 2019.
Challenges
Child headed families have a problem of shelters though not all.
Developments
One of our students has graduated in October 2018.
We received funds and have bought food for the children to take us to April 2019
Suggestions
There’s need for continuous exchange visits.
Need transport at the centres for emergencies and exchange visits.
