Areas of support include;-
Activities as supported
Education
We make sure that all the school age children go to school from Nursery to University including the levels as mentioned earlier.
Performance
Our children’s performance has been encouraging during term II of year 2018 at all levels. It is a promising standard of learning of our children.
Feeding at school
We provide break and mid day meals, children feed on beans and posho as school standard meals. They take porridge with bread.
Feeding at home
There are those very needy. It is a duty of each group to follow up and ensure that food is provided for them to eat at home. We manage this through River Fund and our kind Donors to make sure the children go on well and survive.
Scholastic materials
Through the funds we receive from donors for instance River Fund, in every beginning of the year; scholastic materials are provided to the children to ease the learning process.
These are exercise books, pencils, pens, rulers, sets, rubbers and anything to do with children’s learning is provided.
Uniforms
Every group of the four provides uniforms to the children for identification and smartness.
Fees top up
Fees and fees top up is provided to the very needy. Despite the fact that University fees are very high, one girl has completed this august waiting for graduation early September 2018. The boy is still on, he begun early this year.
Health care
Our children look healthy. We have maintained health care through long term survival skills training provided by The River Fund and taught by Lynde Francis, deceased, of Zimbabwe.
Women are very well informed on counselling both boys and girls. Girls are aware of the health skills and practices.
HIV/AIDS
The children on drugs have special care and members make home visits to them and do counsel and guide. We ensure they attend their clinic days and take drugs in time and where necessary transport is provided for far away children from the clinic centers.
Child headed families
These needy ones are provided with food to eat at home for instance posho and beans.
Developments
One of our children is graduating in September 2018 and is a girl.
Learning standards of our children have improved greatly for provision of meals and enough scholastic materials and provided in time.
Our children are healthy and good looking.
Challenges
We have failed to make exchange visits due to lack of transport.
Suggestion
There’s need for exchange visits if there be transport
Clinic days to centers need transport especially for children.
God bless you
