Progress report

The feeding and education support project has been a successful and a mother project for Chinseu and we are here to thank you for helping us make our vision and objectives achievable. We are very lucky on having you be part of our community and working together on creating a good Chinseu to live. We assure you that every donation you give to this project helps Orphans feed and get education support. So far Chinseu feeding is supporting 102 Orphan and other Vulnerable children on feeding daily, and 221 Children are supported on education issues and your donations are used to these causes.

We hope you will plan increase your giving scheme in these festive seasons hence more children need some gifts and visits that you can specially sponsor them on your convenience. Please take these children as your real children hence there was nobody to help them until you you rescue them with your donations and the work is on going. We hope also that you will consider starting regular and recurring donations of any amounts that these children's will have readily available funds to use in their daily living.

CHINSEU CBO PROGRESS REPORT

Chinseu CBO Orphan and Vulnerable Children Feeding Project 9277 has been successful and the Objectives, Activities planned were done at the time planned. It is all done because you Chinseu CBO Partners, you generously donate towards the project at the time Chinseu asked for help. It is again high time Chinseu should come open, giving our gratitudes to Globalgiving Staff with their untirelessly guide towards the success Chinseu is proud off. It could to be incomplete if Chinseu CBO is not thanking OUR great Parteners who made the project go to ground and Orphans enjoy your support.

OBJECTIVES THAT THEY ACHIEVED:

- Child care and protection;

Chinseu CBO Orphanage has been the nice place for child care and protection as the CBO had all the materials needed to keep the child enjoying the day. Some of these materials are: Foodstuffs, Child Play Materials all compound necessary structures.

- Promotion of early childhood development centres, Pre-schools.

Once these children gathered at the centre the y received by the Child Care Givers Volunteers that pick the children to a class for pre-schooling. This is very much important to the development of our children as it is revealed that a child that attend these pre-schools are more intelligent once they join their friends at Full Primary Schools education centres.

REMARKS:

It is because of the attainment of these Objectives that made Chinseu glad because on our own the project could have not reach this point.

ENCOURAGEMENTS:

Chinseu CBO is thankful to the Globalgiving staff for the guidance they rendered to Org. that are partnered with. It is not simple for us to keep the relationship of our org. and the Donor as sometimes Org. are fast we really need mediators to keep the joint smooth and flexible.

Lastly Chinseu CBO is encouraging Donors to continue contributing donation on the Globalgiving website an online donation platform. CHINSEU CBO PROJ.9277 REPORT (JUNE 2012-JULY 2012)

INTRODUCTION:

Chinseu CBO Orphan and Vulnerable Children Feeding Proj. 9277, has been receiving funds from partners from the USA through GlobalGiving from 30 January 2012. Now the CBO has just received the second fund of $374.25 on 1 August 2012. Chinseu CBO is very greatful to this funds and it is the wish of the org. to continuing being transparent on day to day activities transactions.

OBJECTIVIES TO ATTAIN:

To promote the best start and early stimulation in life for all children especiary the less priveledged Orphans.
Promote the protection of children against any forms of abuse and discrimination.
To expand high quality early learning and stimulation services for young children in Malawi.

REPORT CONTENTS:

Chinseu CBO Orphan and Vulnerable Children as an organisation is doin alot of activities to achieve the UN Millenium Goals and The Malawi Growth and Development Strategies more especially in minimising the high rate of death among the young people who i many times left children as Orphans in our area of TA Kuntaja.

Chinseu CBO also is adopting these children whom their both / one parent died and they are at desparent, they have nothing to do in their daily life (Support).Chinseu is doing this by giving food to those children that are Orphans and Vulnerables, School support to Orphans and other domestic supports.

CHILD CARE AND PROTECTION:

Chinseu CBO is doing its best so that the children adopted at the Orphanage and those out-side the Orphancare center but within the area of TA Kuntaja are well cared and well protected from any type of child abuse, daily home welfare, This is child Healty and care, Child`s Nutrition and care.

HIV/AIDS ECD:

Chinseu CBO is doing alot of this awareness so that the community should be aware of the impact of HIV/AIDS within our community of TA Kuntaja, especially on early childhood.

CHALLEGES MET WITHIN THIS PERIOD:

Unsufficient funds on the Orphan and Vulnerable children feeding.
Chinseu CBO has stayed for two to three months without funds from GGF that makes the management to continue milking an already thin cow and failed to reach the standard of feeding the children were supposed to be fed due to shortfall of funds towards the activity.
The high prices of the commodities especially from the past three months , affects the buying of food stuffs of the Org.

SOLLUTIONS:

There has been more awareness on the community contribution to the proj.OVC Feeding among the community around the org.
Management is making sure no community is left behind on the projects updates this is financially and on the ground, this has helped the org. to still access the funds from the community allthough the economy is though in Malawi.

SUCCESSES:

Chinseu CBO is very thankful to the community who always being on the forfront of the management of the activities of the Org. Especially this feeding program one person can not manage to feed 60 Children.

The Board of Trustees, Executive committee, and the whole community of Chinseu CBO - Malawi are sincerely thankink you our USA Donor Partners for the big roll you our Donors are undertaking on this project 9277: Chinseu CBO Orhan and Vulnerable Children Feeding` project. SAD NEWS:

ON 5 JULY, 2012. Chinseu CBO lost one of its children ROYD PHIRI died and buried on the 7 july, 2012. Royd lost his both parents some two years ago. He died after claiming he was feeling stomach pains after receiving Bilhanzia drugs that the Goverment of Malawi was giving to Children of 5 to 17 years. He suffered for almost five days.
